I am training for logistics and plan to fly Onerios. The ship requiers logistics I, but in reading the forums it becomes clear that training the logistics skill to higher levels has a payoff. What is that payoff? I can't find the documentation anywhere. Thanks

You get drastically reduced cap draw from your remote support modules.
By drastically, I mean that at lvl I, you'll be lucky if you can use more than one repper at a time, and even then you'll cap out in short order. At lvl V, you can use four and still be entirely cap stable.
Logistics is one of the few skills in the game where lvl V is actually the one you should aim for, rather than just think "get IV and then see if I want/need to throw more training time at it". The difference is that significant. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

Documentation -- check ship info
Hull: Exequror Class Role: Support Cruiser
Designed specifically as an armor augmenter, the Oneiros provides added defensive muscle to fighters on the front lines. Additionally, its own formidable defenses make it a tough nut to crack. Breaking through a formation supported by an Oneiros is no mean feat.
Developer: Roden Shipyards
Deciding that added defensive capabilities would serve to strengthen the overall effectiveness of Gallente ships, who traditionally have favored pure firepower over other aspects, Roden Shipyards came up with the Oneiros. Intrigued, Gallente Navy officials are reportedly considering incorporating this powerful defender into their fleet formations.
Gallente Cruiser Skill Bonus: 150% bonus to Remote Armor Repair System and Tracking Link range 20% bonus to Armor Maintenance Bot transfer amount per level
Logistics Skill Bonus: 15% reduction in Remote Armor Repair System capacitor use and 10% bonus to Tracking Link efficiency per level
Role Bonus: -65% power need for Remote Armor Repair Systems

What above mens is that you can perma run 4x large remote reps with 3x cap recharger II's and everything else you have on board. Assuming you have core capacitor elite -certificate ofc.

The payoff is:
You won't have to tell your fleetmates, "I'm capped out. Sorry guy's. Docking."

At Logistics 4 I found it took a great deal of cap transfers to me to keep from capping-out.
We had to have quite the cap transfer chain going with several ships. It really peeved me that I was so dependent on others for cap. If one person got popped, or only wandered out of cap transfer range, the whole cap chain fell down in short order leaving me dry.
After that experience, I trained Logistics 5. It was nothing short of amazing how much cap I had then. One small cap transfer was all I needed to stay stable in a Basilisk, and I could return much more cap than that.
Keep in mind that I'm not even primarily a Logistics pilot, and I trained it to 5 because the difference was just so HUGE.

Others have already pointed out the value of Logi 5, and the rep-specific skills for armor and shield RR modules should not take you long to get to level 5 as well and are an additional boon.
If you want to be a pr0 logi pilot, skill-wise, also consider getting Targeting to 5, then training Multitasking to 4. Logi ships usually have a max target count of 10 which, conveniently, is the max number in a fleet's squad... therefore if you have a squad you're in charge of repping, it's incredibly useful to have all members locked up and ready to rep BEFORE they may need RR. Seconds count, and this makes it so you don't have to fart around with unlocking and making space in your target queue when someone who isn't already locked is broadcasting (often frantically) for help.

After many hours with Oneiros in EFT i find that you can make sooo much better fittings if you have Logistics V.
Train it.

Inside the game, open the information window for the ship. You can do it by searching for "onei" in the Market, then clicking on the tiny blue-and-white button, or you can write most of the name (make sure you don't misspell), then select it, and do the right-click thing so make it a link. Then left-click on the link to see the information window for the ship.
Either way, once you have the information window, in the first tab, at the bottom, you can read the ship's bonuses. There may be two or three kinds of bonuses. Some ships have a role bonus which is fixed and skill-independent (the Basilisk has a role bonus, e.g.).
T2 ships usually (or always?) have one bonus derived from the skill required to fly the T1 version of that ship. For a Logistics ship, that would be the Racial Cruiser skill. I don't know what race the Oneirosis, but the Basilisk is a Caldari ship, so the T1 skill would be Caldari Cruiser.
The other skill-dependent bonus T2 ships have is derived from the skill directly required to fly that ship, which in the case of the Oneiros and the Basilisk, is the Logistics skill.
For the Basilisk, one effect of the Logistics skill is that the capacitor usage of remote shield repair, and can transfer, is reduced by a percentage per level of skill (i.e. in the Logistics skill), and another effect is that the range of these two kinds of modules is increased by a percentage per level of skill (i.e. again the Logistics skill).
I'd imagine the Oneiros has bonuses that work much the same way.

A logistic's cruiser can only lock ten targets, so you only need multitasking at 3.

At higher levels you break the laws of thermodynamics and your cap transfers will produce more cap than they consume. Link these with other logistics and it's insane...

You need to read the bottom half of the ship description for every ship you fly.

If only there were items that would increase the number of targets a ship can lock

2 threads where you can't figure out what skills do????? You need to do some more of your own research before posting.
