Does anyone else think that the walk speed should be increased just a tad? As someone who has spent more than the fair share of time station spinning I'm totally digging the idea of a new dock. I just think the walking speed should be increase 1/3 or so.

Yes the walk speed animation is far too slow. IRL when I walk somewhere I move far faster that the current animation at my normal walk speed.

Yes I do hurriedly walk like a crack***** to the fridge and back so that continue playing EVE. My Avatar should do the same.

I think the walk speed is fairly normal atm. I wouldn't want to see Avatars moving around quickly like you see in other games. CCP's realism in CQ has worked well so far.
One thing though, you should be able to undock from anywhere in Incarna and that should be the only time your character runs, to the nearest elevator, when you don't see it but everyone else does as you are actually looking at the undocking in progress.

I really can't be bothered to create yet another installation for Duality at this stage, but one question pops to mind based on the CQ video at Fanfest: I thought at the time that the walk from the viewing platform to the quarters was inappropriately long. Has this made it onto Duality?

they need to add a "fast walk" / "jog" toggle via shift for getting outside or inside faster...
but the big problem is that the feet movements and speed of movement are not matched, its off by like a half step too slow, the animation and the actual movement don't line up for the size of the steps.

because in eve online, time is on your side for settling scores, so no, you can't walk any faster.

From my first impressions of captains quarters, I did feel that the walking speed was a bit too slow. However, this is probably something that needs getting used to. After the hour or so of captain's quarters pacing when the update hits tranquility, I suspect that the walking pace will feel much more normal. One thing that did irritate me was a certain part of the room where there is a slight step, where part of it is too steep to step over. I repeatedly found myself unable to move forward, as the step was too steep to simply walk over. Though after a while, I have found myself doing this much less often, perhaps it is just me

You young folks don't know what its like to walk slow, It takes me 30 minutes to walk from the computer to the fridge and back. Back in my day, we didn't walk fast either, had to keep our energy up, because the only walking we were doing was fighting the second world war. Not that any of you young kids know anything about war. Slow up the walking in my opinion, have some respect for your elders. I used to sell ice cream from the back of a wagon!

"We walked thirty miles to the schoolhouse, barefoot, uphill both ways, through blizzards in summer and winter, back in the good old days" ((C) Frank Hayes, i believe) I salute you, sir.
