I resently aquired a Nidhoggur and am looking for advice, and a good travel fit. With JDC V it will take me 2 jumps to get where i want to go. |

I travel in my normal triage fit. Except I fit a cloak if I'm going to be cynoing through systems that don't have (dockable) stations. -- Eve Forum ***** Extraordinaire On Twitter

The fit i was planing on using was:
Lows: all Warp Core Stab II (was told it would alow me to jump even when scramed), or all Nano II (to warp to a safe faster). Mids: all Cap Recharger II Highs: Improved Cloak
And a specific questions: 1. Ideas for lows? 2. Can anyone jump to your cyno or just people in your fleet/corp/alliance? |

This is a travel fitting for a Rorqual, but the idea is the same: http://eve.battleclinic.com/loadout/49677-Rorqual-Travel-fit-O-o.html Put in the highs whatever you like, you shouldn¦t need a Cloak but you can fit one if you feel saver.
Every pilot with a ship with a jumpdrive(all Capitals[except Freighters] and BlackOps) can jump onto every Cyno he wants.

Wrong, only people in the fleet can jump on the cyno.

Dont forget lotsa fuel. Solo jumping, fit a lot of cap rechargers. Don't sit close to the cyno ship when you land. Kill the cyno ship (if its cheap) and let that pod get moving again.
You might also consider bringing 3 or 4 backup cyno ships. Fit them with a cloak also. Extra Ozone.

this guy is right. not just anyone can jump to your cyno like you may think. only people who are in the fleet YOU are in can jump to your cyno. now when you light the cyno, it puts up the beacon that everyone can see if they're in that system and they can warp to the cyno beacon which is why it's a good thing to have disposable cyno alts with no implants cause they tend to get popped before cyno is up depending what system you light it in.
Thats why the other guy is right. carrying 2-3 more cyno ships in your carrier is a goood idea as well. It is impossible to pod Chuck Norris. |

Even if you plan to cyno in at docking range fit I would still fit a improved cloak, some neuts and at least 1 smartbomb.

Thank you all for the responses. I have one more question. :)
1. Low slots? |

Cap flux coil 2's.
They reduce your total cap and increase cap recharge. End result? MUCH better cap recharge for jumping. Fit some EANM 2's as well, just in case you have to log off

An 100MN MWD overeated for a single cycle will allow you to warp in 10 seconds, then you can cloak and wait on your capacitor.
On my Rorqual with all the non-passive midslot modules online but deactivated, overheating the 100MN MWD for one cycle doesn't cause any heat damage.
In my experience, people in system don't immediately warp to a lit cyno, but will wait a bit to see if a fleet comes through. Few want to chance warping into an incoming blob. This buys time to get the capital away.

well, it depends on a lot of factors; are you jumping to a POS or a station? are you going to be capped up if you're not at a station.
basically if your cyno pilot knows what he's doing and youre going to a station an improved cloak is basically all you need, just at the odd chance that you do bounce.
If you're not going to a station and you have say a guardian capping you up, I suggest this fit:
[Nidhoggur, Travel] Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II Capacitor Flux Coil II
100MN MicroWarpdrive II 1MN MicroWarpdrive I 1MN MicroWarpdrive I 1MN MicroWarpdrive I 1MN MicroWarpdrive I
[empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot] [empty high slot]
[empty rig slot] [empty rig slot] [empty rig slot]
It gives you only 9,000 cap total meaning a specialized guardian can cap you full in 20 seconds.

Decent enough fitting, but let me ask you this: Why is the 100MN MWD T2?
If you think about it, you'll realize you should be using a T1.

ItÆs just me and my cyno, I was planning on jumping in to a safe spot then once I arrive warping off to another. Cause of the input IÆve gotten, I think IÆll change my fit to:
Highs: x2 SB, x2 Neut, Improved Cloak Meds: 100MN MWD II, x4 Cap Recharger II Lows: (x6 wcs) or (x3 nano, x3 wcs) or (x6 nano) or (cap flux coils)
What I want to do is get there and warp off as fast as possible. I can wait for the cap to recharge, not worried about that. ItÆs the initial arrival and warp off that concerns me. |
