Edited by: BRIMTAK on 27/04/2011 01:55:19 I left my militia FW about 2 months ago and have since made a trip to Jita from Rens in a dramiel with no problems a couple weeks ago, but today I was going out to jita in a industrial ship fitted with stabs and nano just in case and I'm glad I did because I was flagged as an enemy to the Caldari npcs.
"You have proven yourself to be an enemy of blah blah you will be terminated"
Now I made it ok to the station, got shot a couple times but nothing I couldn't handle. My question though is that, why was I able to last time make it in a dramiel without so much as a hiccup, but this time I'm flagged as a FW enemy. Info: I was flagged yellow and not red so I'm only getting chased by the npcs.
The only guess I have is since my industrial is a bit slower at aligning I was able to be scanned or whatever by the npc drones and flagged easier than I was in a dramiel.
Or, maybe, this is a bug. Not sure, but either way I thought I would ask, I tried googling and looking around but there really wasn't much info I could find about a retired FW pilot still being engaged as an enemy.

It takes a little while for the faction navy to show up. You didn't notice because of how fast the Dramiel aligns, but obviously with an industrial it's a whole other ball game.
It actually might help you out travel time wise, because the Faction navies web immediately. It's like having a corpmate in a frig web your freighter on every jump. An angry corpmate, who likes to shoot and neut you, and broadcast your name to everyone in system.

Edited by: BRIMTAK on 27/04/2011 02:34:15 Well it makes sense with the align difference, I just wasn't aware that as a retired FW pilot I would be forever haunted by these lame-o npc's. Either way, the trips were made safely I just found it odd that the difference in ships could mean the difference in getting popped by npc's or not. I guess it's just the trigger happy A.I.
But, yea they did like to web, I'm just glad it wasn't scrams, even though I was prepared, I wasn't sure on the way to dock at station if i would even be let in. Seems to be only a minor annoyance.

Its not that you are an ex-FW'er that they have an issue with, it is that you have less than -5.0 standing with that faction, most likly due to plexs or FW missions that destory your standings quite fast, raise them back up above -5.0 and they will stop chasing you.

I would shoot back at the NPCs as they are obviously evil.

My "natural" standing with Gallente is -7.38, having destroyed a lot of Gallente ships in missions. In order to join some acquaintances in a system in Gallente space and not get harassed by the Gallente Navy, I trained Diplomacy up to level 4. My modified standing is now -4.60. Now the GN leaves me alone.

You've not even learnt to fail properly.
I had an Obelisk Freighter blown up by the Caldari Navy after leaving FW on a trip to Jita.
Diplomacy 5 trained now means (I think) it is impossible to now lower my effective standing below -5.
Not that I play eve much anymore.

sorry to break your bubble Vyktor. at diplo 5 you can still sink to being Kill On Sight by the factions Navy's. if you manage somehow to go down to the -10 mark, diplo 5 will at best get you to -6 which is still shoot on sight.
