I was bored as hell, so I decided to try the caldari epic arc one. Short of standings because I went roque against Caldari State (had near 8.0+ standings once with them) and standing were at .5ish.
So I spend two days of free time (total of 4hours really) to get the required standings with Expert Distribution. Then I proceed through the arc.
Ship that I used total are: Tengu, shuttle (to go pick up a covert transport), and crane.
So I easily aced through all the arc, went to the good side. My route as followed from the choices I picked:
Proof of Intent: Two steps of Hell (going through 0.0), that 45m was nice, covert reconfig. and interdiction nullifier subs is like cakes walk through the dangerous gate camps I slipped through. Crimson Decoy rather than going after the HQ of Corporate Police Force.
Blackness Rising: Then got sent to Black Rise, didn't get any of the choice option as I progress. Probing and hacking skills are required here.
The Bottom Line:
Deciding the two plans, I sticked with fellow CN Sinas, since I am loyal to Caldari Navy. So used the shuttle to picked up the covert ops, done the mission and nice 25m. Then tells me good job for sitcking with me, instead of going with the other guy to get revenge. The caldari will never forget your actions and bye, you're dismissed.
I went "..."
Wait what? No items or anything? The very last mission I help transport 10k and is 25m isk and 12%+ standings with Caldari State?
Shouldn't I have gone bad guy route instead or should have went to the other agent instead? Checking epic journal section, does say its completed.
Isk-wise, its, well, nice I suppose, so is the 12%+ faction standing boost (from .5 to 1.72) but don't think it was really worth the effort other than knowing the nice story between two coportation competition, the dark side of the Black Rise faction warfare the first time around ... I expected more, meh.
Bed time, then after work, Gurista epic arc. (heard that you mainly need inty/AF class ships this time around, that true?) ----------------------------------- Peace through power! |

Hyasyoda Ending = Lab NOH Ending = Drugs Other Ending = ISK?
I believe that is how it works, I work for Hyasyoda normally so I have always ended it their way (which is also the most profitable)

I am guessing that the primary reward for sticking with the Navy was supposed to be a greater Caldari State faction standing reward than what you would get for the other two endings. Say, 10% (unmodified) with the Navy and 5% for the other two, like the Minmatar epic arc does it.
Except, unsurprisingly, someone at CCP does not get it at put the faction standing reward for all endings at 10% making the reason to go with the Navy just about pointless.

EDIT: It seems to take at least an assault frigate if you want to handle the Guristas epic arc solo. I have heard people having success using stealth bombers too, though. This time you should not worry about rewards as besides getting an unique module and a faction cruiser BPC you will also be granted 30% faction standing with the Guristas Pirates by completing their arc.
Thanks for the details. And yeah, going through Navy route is pretty useless IMO.
I was thinking a wolf/jag to do the Gurista arcs, but I didn't think it'd be that easy to fly in stealth bombers. :O ----------------------------------- Peace through power! |

Bah, I cannot recommend any flowchart or walk-through other than my own.
Check out the Gurista arc guide, if you wish.
