Edited by: ChromeStriker on 28/04/2011 13:44:32 Both have theyre merrits, the only real differance is theyre slot layout and damage type. other than that i know the hound is a bit faster, better align tyme. unfotunatly i cant say more about the nemisis. both are solid no one can really say one is better... just differant
edit: this all kinda depends what you want t do ofc? solo/gang? bombing? mixed ship types ect

Hound (Minmatar) much better.
Better slot configuration (one less mid, one more low), MUCH easier fitting, much better agility, Explosive damage > Thermal.
The Gallente stealth bomber is the worst of them all, objetively speaking.

Hound is better for soloing but IMO Gal is better in gangs.
Hound can do more DPS against armor tankers which would be it's target range for soloing. The Nem does Therm damage which isn't a bad damage type for a gang because it's a nice "average" damage type to hit with. Added to this, for gang work it can have a little less DPS but it more than makes up for it with the extra mid for more EW fittings.

Hound is better for gangs because of the very reasons you iterated. Hound has more DPS because of the extra lowslot, and the extra e-war is only needed in small gangs/solo to begin with.

Thermal is a desired damage type against buffer fit maelstroems.

For solo work nothing is more important than matching damage type to your targets but overall I like the hound best too.

With covops 5 you get a 75% damage boost towards your racial torps. The odds of being better off using off-racial torps are very, VERY slim. |

I prefer the nemesis, mainly due to it's ability to fit a damp, target painter, prop mod, and a point. This means that I can use it in most situations; even as a cloaky warp in, or even for PVE (prop mod stays away, target painter helps damage).
Now, if I don't need all this capability from one fit, like when flying in a gang that has those things covered then I would rather use a hound or a purifier, for damage, and the fact that their damage types tend to be the ones that I want.
In general though, stealth bombers are more balanced than most other class of ships.

You can fit 2x damps + a point or target painter on a Nemm.. (exchange damps for what ever EW mod of your liking..ie ECM or tracking disruptor) Added to this Therm is a more universal damage type to use across a much wider range of ships vs explosive.
Hound is great for pushing out a lot of explosive damage but what happens when your gang catches a couple Drakes? The Nemm will still do pretty decent damage to both armor & shield tanked ships making it a better choice for the widest range of targets. Add in the extra EW capabilities of the extra mid across a small gang and you can do quite a bit.
When you are dealing with small gangs the max DPS out put is not always the main concern because you will likely just be ganking stuff so it's more about keeping your gang safe. Extra EW mods, in that extra mid go a long way to doing just that.

Nemesis is slow as ****. Your damps won't be saving anyone when the target is likely jammed by the rest of your dishonor blob. Also, why aren't you fitting a MSE on your stealth bomber?? |

When you get a lil experience that shows up on your KB, maybe you will understand why.

actually, manticore is better for makeshift ewar, since you don't have to struggle in fittings.
tbh nemesis has worse cpu with the same grid of the manti (yet same slot config) hound is awesome since you can remain nimble and do damage at the same time, while the purifier actually has some extra cargo for more bombs.
bottom line: if you can fly anything besides the nemesis and you don't have an imperative need of thermal damage, every other bomber is better in pretty much any situation besides throw-away bomb run ships (where you don't need to bother fitting much in there besides a mwd and a bomb launcher). ---

The MSE is for drones.
If you are in a SB fleet, or solo ratting with a SB, you can drop the MSE.
