Moving from Colorado to San Francisco, CA and have zero luck getting jobs? Averaging 40 apps a week and no interviews! Born and raised in Colorado so ya know. Just wanted to see opinions and keep an open mind for those thoughts come in the bucket and weigh the choices. Stay and survive Cali or go back to Colorado?

Do you have a job to go to back in Colorado? If not which has the lowest unemployment? What inspired you to move to San Francisco? Do you want to recreate the car chase from Bullit? And if not, what the hell is wrong with you?

The beauty of San Francisco, night life, lots of diversity, all that stuff got me to move. Colo has the lower unemployment rate. around 9% compared to 12.3% in Cali. Got laid off in Colorado and I moved since there was a potential job in SF then it bombed on me a week later :(

I'd try to stick it out. You're only young once, best spend it where the clubbing scene is decent.

From what I heard, you need to do a lot of drugs and visit the cool clubs, chat with people there and some might offer you a job.
How to PVP: 1. buy ISK with GTCs, 2. fit cloak, learn aggro mechanics, 3. buy second account for metagaming

Networking can be a useful tool in finding employment, get out there and get social.

harek dont be an idiot.
Do you have a job? yes! Do you have a place to live? yes! Can you eat and survive? yes!
San Fancisco Do you have a job waiting for you there? No Do you have a place to live, that you can AFFORD? Maybe Can you eat and survive? prolly not.
Here is the blunt truth, if you move without having a job ready for you there and or a place to live, its stupid to move out there. All that san franc offers, is higher taxes, less jobs, and less cash in your pocket. Taxes are the killer, what ever you pay in CO you will pay about double anywhere in cali. What you need to realize, is unless you can fulfill a lot of the requirements to live there before moving there, you shouldnt move.
I live in kansas. You think i want to live here? hell no, hate it. nothing to do, but this is where i have a job and a place to live and its is very affordable. Until I can find something better i am stuck here.

Actually, he doesn't (or, he didn't). He said he got laid off in post #3. And he also said he moved because there was a "potential" job there, but it didn't go as planned. _

I'm leaving MN for CA. Central Valley though, not the coast, not yet. I always have the best luck with temp agencies, I always get a well paying job quickly through them..but that is in the mid-west. Still though, they've been my best bet.
Luckily I'm moving in with my best friend and she is working full-time so with her working and my savings account I'm confident about the move.
I heard CO has a tough-er job market, being tourism based and all. Great place to live though imo. ----------------------------------- They see me trollin... |

SF is an awesome city to live in if you young and single. Its the nicest area I've ever lived in, to be honest. What do you/can you do?

San Fran is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. Good weather but the whole state's economy is on the verge of fail cascade. Nice place to visit, the hell with living there. I'd move back to Colorado. Its just as beautiful, less earthquakes, and a tidal wave won't remove you from existence. Snow skiing is better in Colorado than Cali as well. Both states have hippies and pot. San Fran also has some pretty scary gun prohibition laws, especially considering how close they are to oakland.
Colorado has less pollution, less natural disasters, lower crime and better mountains. I guess the difference is, would you rather be bothered by gang bangers or rednecks?
