I'm incredibly bored/jaded with laser pew even though it was my first love. I am not planning to train capital ships because I simply don't have the time or the inclination to deal with those things. Need some opinions on cross training from here. My support skills are maxed, my gunneryand sub-cap drone skills are too, and my missile launcher skills aren't shabby.
Opinions and Inspiration requested!

Edited by: Cephelange du''Krevviq on 08/05/2011 07:06:33 You probably already know this, but I'll mention it, anyway. Some of the pirate faction ships that require Amarr/Minmatar skills are quite nice, especially if you like neuting your target into oblivion.
You could also take a look at the Damnation Amarr Command Ship (BC hull). It gets bonuses to HM/HAM velocity, and armor resistance bonuses for your BC skill, and bonus to armor HP and armored warfare kinks based on Command Ship skill.

I was inviting more (****)posters, not accusing you of trolling.

It depends on what you want to do in-game. Some races' ships lend themselves better for cetrain things than others.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, then.

Amarr -> caldari. Khanid ships are pure sex. Caldari = you can find a better ship for shield gangs. Drake is cheap win. Nightmare... need I say more?

Please dont do what everyone does and train other weapon skills.... its a complete waste of training time, keep your character specialised in amarr, if you want to branch out train some leadership skills ect. If you fancy a change your better just trading your character for someone elses (make sure its a better char you trade it for)
Cross training a toon is just criminal and a complete shame because it spoils what could be an awesome toon. If you want to stick with the same toon I'd suggest doing the leadership skills or simply getting some more 5s.
I personally find it more fun to pilot elite frigates, anything bigger than a cruiser just puts me to sleep <<<<<<My girlfreind left me because I dont have a car... jokes on her, I have a command ship now>>>>>> |

Might be interesting to check out the Khanid/Sansha line of ships, allows you to slowly crosstrain and add several good ships to fly. Bonus is, if you can fly those two, you can fly the caldari missile boats as well. -------------- Cleaning up wrecks others leave behind! Got to keep space clean! |

I have a char that is maxed out 100% in Amarr/Gal/Min/Caldari sub-caps. Why do you think that is bad? It seems like a very good thing to me, because I can bring the best ship for the job.

Twisted was taking it to an extreme, but I agree somewhat. I've got almost 60mil sp and still haven't finished completely with amarr sub-capital ships. I assume by 100mil you might realistically have the sub-caps of all races covered, but there are lots of support skills you would neglect in order to do that earlier.
