14. Missiles are the only weapon system that have a "size-crossing" module or ship type. Assault Missile Launchers enable cruisers and battlecruisers to fight frigate-sized targets easily, and Stealth Bombers are frigate-sized ships that can launch torpedoes, weapons effective against battleships. (please note that these weapons suck - as they should - against equivalent-sized targets. You're silly to use your AMLs against cruiser-sized targets or larger, and a Stealth Bomber cannot fight other frigates at all, nor even medium-sized ships; this is about role specialization.)
14a. Are you going to expand on the missile concept by introducing a similar launcher fittable onto battleships that fires missiles efficient against cruisers?
14b. Are you going to introduce analogous guns, so that a gun cruiser can be efficient against frigate-sized targets, and a gun battleship can be efficient against cruiser-sized targets?
14c. Are you going to introduce analogous drones, specifically a medium-sized drone optimized against frigate-sized targets, and a large drone optimized against cruiser-sized targets?
14d. What about gun-based analogues to the Stealth Bomber? A frigate- or destroyer-sized ship able to mount and fire a few very big guns?
14e. Similarly, what about a special drone category that normal ships cannot use, but which can be utilized by frigate-sized Drone Bombers, and which is optimal for use against battleships?
...Or are you happy with AMLs and Stealth Bombers being the only weapon systems in the game that can cross the size boundary and be optimal against enemies differently sized from themselves (while sucking big time against equivalent-size enemies)?

So two years ago in that thread you link in the OP it was said that "Local was an admitted problem and you were working on a fix that would involve an indepth change to scanning and intel gathering methods".
Its been 2 years. Local is unchanged completely, and remains just as broken of a god mode as it was when you admit it in that thread.
When do you expect to fix Local?

When will the 0.0 anom roll back happen? Will you be adding missile launcher hard points to go with the new turrets? When will the next gen of graphics be rolled out? Will there be comets/real life sized belts/more exploration depth soon? When is dust 514 coming out?... and will there be a a PC port (makes more sense technically) Which class is most likely to ever get a T3 class? Will you ever fix short range ammo? Remove defender missiles from NPCs? Allow more module slots for more point defense weapons like on real ships?

15. Have you considered less frequent expansions, so as to give yourself more time to get things right? Like once every 10 months? That'd still be about thrice as good as World of Warcraft does it.
16. Can we have a missile-based destroyer-sized T1 hull please? All five ship sizes (from frigate to battleship) offer gun-based T1 hulls, often multiple versions, and four of the five ship sizes also offer missile-based T1 hulls, often multiple versions, but the destroyer size is guns only. This creates a slight progression jar from a missiles-only pilot, in that he has to go directly from frigate to cruiser.
17. Why is NPC damage types not readily visible? Other games have more detailed and much more accessible combat logs, making it super easy to realize that one has fitted the wrong resists, e.g. Why is EVE so obscure in these regards? Note that I'm not asking about information that shouldn't realistically be readiliby detectable by my shio's sensors, such as he resists of the NPCs. Only the damage they do. I'm envisioning some kind of bar graph that shows the total HP damage taken in the last 10 or 15 seconds, divided into EM, kin, therm and exp, or something.
18. When are we going to get member-only corporate stores using a LP currency? I want to make cooler stuff available to my members, but right now my only option is to give it to them on a case-by-case basis, or put it in an accessible hangar from which they can - if they wish - take everything. As a CEO I want to be able to dole out LPs that the members are then free to use as they wish to buy stuff from my corp. (I'd also like to be able to set an LP salary to all members of a given rank, in addition to whatever I feel like doling out on an ad hoc basis). When are you going to implement that?
19. When will you make FW missions stop sucking? They're hugely dangerous, requiring me to jump far into low-sec, bt the rewards are stupidly small.
20. Do you have plans to not shut the server down daily eventually? Just moving to a 48-hour schedule would greatly help players in certain time zones. Or even a 20/28 hours schedule, where one day you shut down at 9 UTC, then the next day at 13 UTC, then either the next day you shut down at 9 UTC again or else you keep it online until 9 UTC the day after (a total of 44 hours). Or are you happy with shutting down every single day always on the same time of the day?
21. Do you plan on making standings to NPCs erode? Or security status? I'm thinking something like 0.02 per week if above 5 or under -5, and 0.04 per week otherwise, shifting gradually towards zero? (Maybe more slowly than that for faction standings)
22. Some Caldari ships, such as Deep Space Transports and Assault Frigates, have one of their bonuses applied to active tanking. Do you think that is wise, or would they be more balanced if the bonus was changed to something passive in nature?
23. Rigs or modules to increase strip miner range? Are there plans for that?

I'm sure walking around as an actual person is something that's been in CCP's minds and the minds of most eve players since eve first started. At what point though in Eve's history did CCP actually begin to take the idea of walking in stations seriously, and treat it as something that is technically possible, rather than something purely conceptual? Did you guys always consider Incarna to be something you guys would eventually achieve? If not, then at what point was it that it changed from an just an idea, to an actual possibility?
Other question: do you guys have any plans with regards to differences between walking in stations in low-sec and high-sec stations?

Will you make corp standing to faction a requirement during the refueling upkeep and not just when placing a POS in hisec? something like: corp standing + starbase charter = online POS.
also could the corp standing to faction system be expanded to allow POS in 0.8 and 0.9 systems with the caveat that the corps faction standing should have more than 1 player contributing to that standing.

In the trailers ships accelerate/decelerate very rapidly as if someone is slamming on the brakes (or mashing the gas), which looks much cooler (as CCP knows because well.. they put it that way in the trailers rather than how it actually looks in game), in game ships exit / enter warp relatively much much more slowly. So when are the trailers going to reflect how warping looks in game, or vice versa?
Also, when are electronic attack ships and black ops ships going to be changed so that they are useful? Black ops ships are good for covert ops bridging and thats about it. Electronic attack ships are good for.. well.. exploding easily. So when will they be modified (or are there plans to modify them)?

The CSM recently announced they're going to encourage you guys to iterate on ship balance in smaller more frequent bits compared to the large changes with a long time in between. What has been the reason for the huge but slow iterations? Do you think this is something that's likely to change?

Can we have more ship models with the EXACT same attributes (or insignificant changes)?
Rational: This would give Eve more color and choices for pilots. Not just a Raven 2, but a new model design that is simply a Raven in attributes. Will give some choices to pilots that prefer Chevy over Ford.

24. When a POS leaves reinforced mode, some types of anchored weapon, such as ECM and missile launchers, stop working. Is this working as intended? If yes, how come some POS types, such as Caldari, have bonuses to anchored missile-type weapons?
25. Are you gathering ship usage statistics? Specifically statistics of how many player-hours each ship is flown in any kind of combat, regardless of whether it is PVE or PVP? If you are not doing this, what is your reason? What other powerful tool do you have to discover the true opinion of the player base of the various ship hulls that you offer, so that you can re-balance?
26. For almost any ship or weapon stat in EVE, there is a skill you can train to improve it. You want more shield HP, there's a skill to train. You want faster shield HP recharge, there's a skill. You want faster ship flight, there's a skill. You want more CPU, there's a skill. Yet there is no skill to increase sensor strength? Are you planning on adding such a skill? Or four skills, one per sensor system type?
27. CPU is much harder to come by than powergrid. For powergrid, there are several modules to choose from, including some quite powerful ones (+15% for Reactor Control T2), and also rigs. CPU is harder to get, with ony one module and no rigs. Have you considered adding an Advanced Electronics skill that gives +2% CPU per level?
28. Sometimes mining in an asteroid belt, my Hulk is stuck and cannot warp away. I have to manually fly away from the belt before I can warp. Is this working as intended?
29. Tritanium is obviously worth much more than you originally intended it to be. You also clearly intended Veldspar to be the least valuable ore, yet as the game has played out over the years, the emergent effect is very different from what you intended. Are you considering a rebalancing of ores and/or minerals, so that Veldspar and/or Tritanium will be more in line with what you originally intended it to be, i.e. less valuable and attractive. Emergent gameplay is usually good, but it is blatantly obvious that you meant veld/trit to be at the low end of the value spectrum and it isn't.
30. Can T3 cruisers get a range bonus on remote rep? It doesn't have to be as big as the bonus Logistics ships get, just a small bonus would be nicer.

This is a very specific question. Probably more technical than anything. I am looking forward to Incarna and all its wonders, but there is one thing that will make me very happy on the inside. Windows. Is it possible to put windows in stations that actually see what is going on outside the station? If yes, Is it planned to put this in Incarna? It would be interesting to watch all the ships go by in Jita while you sit in a station lounge.

Rational: I was impressed with the man that stood up during fanfest and took the microphone and said words to the effect "throw us senior players a bone". (I didn't hurt we was also a senior RL man hehhehe). But yes, many of our senior players have done it all. Give them something that takes 6 or 8 years to achieve, then some of the 5 year olds have something. Everyone, including the CEO nodded their head regarding this...
Will you help the 5+ year old players?

- Faction War, some very small changes would make it more attractive and enjoyable e.g. some loyalty points for plexing, and some reward or bonuses enjoyed for captured systems
- Assault Frigates, really need a clearer combat role
- Carriers--they are now essentially big logistics, really not much fun, they should really do more damage than just a t1 unskilled battleship.

Has there been any talk about how skill points are being applied to make sure there is a balance for newer players to come in and be successful (not talking about isk in their wallet). T2 ships for example, is a nightmare for a new player coming into the game to fly and fit properly b/c they wait 6 years .....

Can the forums have a better filter so that topics can be searched more thoroughly prior to making a suggestion or giving an opinion that may have been dealt with?
I realy would like line of sight targeting constraints to be part of EVE tactical battles. Even the oveview should not show a ship that has been hidden from direct line of sight. Would the load on the server be too much to impose the rule; you loose targeting lock if an object, be it an Asteroid, station, or simply another ship was obscuring direct line of sight?

Any chance of fixing the bounty system? currently you place a bounty on a person, that person uses jump clone to get to a clone without implants; has their friend pod them and they split the bounty. Not only did they kill you, but now they can steal the bounty you placed upon their head.
Perhaps make it a contract with a upfront cost to buy a kill right, and a payment for completing the job. This will give the possibility of private/corporation/alliance contracts in which you hire a merc group to get a guy for you provided you can sell them the kill right. They get paid rather than the guy you want killed, you get satisfaction.

1. Why isn't there a Tier 3 Battleship with only missile bonuses? Or why are there two Tier 3 Battleships with blaster bonuses but only a half of one with missile bonuses?
2. Is the incredibly advanced technology to make artillery rounds travel at the speed of light exclusive to the Minmatar of all races?! Seriously, lets have some warping/MWD missiles so they can have a place in fleet battles and/or legitimately snipe in pvp
3. Have you ever thought, the heck with it, lets just base missiles off of tracking and give them optimals slightly larger than turrets, no fall-off, no criticals, no glancing blows, warping/instantaneous dmg, and just get rid of the current half-baked ideas like Defender missiles (tracking based, remember, so the ship-board guidance/painting/dish/whatever turret could be ECM'd/destab'd) and explosive radii magically lacking AoA
4. Is there a particular reason why shieled-users are cursed to be unable to tackle/ECM and defend (well, HIDs aside)?
5. Can you make Caldari ships any uglier? |
