I don't want to have to adapt to change. I want the coice between Captain's Quarters and the standard In-Station Interface. Captain's Quarters would be awesome, but please give us the choice. What if we can't get used to the change? What if we don't want to go through another tutorial? What about the veteran EVE players? What is with the stupid 2-minute cooldown? And why do the settings never save themselves? |

A 'classic' interface option would be useful. It's probably going to be a little time consuming to move your character around the station to interact with all the various services.
As for the tutorial, well, I'm sure you can skip it - just as you can with the current tutorials.

Have not paid any attention to the changes since Exodus...so yeah, I don't care.
If you don't like the changes, then ignore it, or say ****it and go play something else.

The change is for the better, making EVE more real. IMO any changes made shouldn't be optional.

The devs have been over and over how this will not affect the time it takes to do anything in a station. The only thing that will really change is you wont be able to spin your ships anymore.
And how can you not see this as a good thing? Eve is expanding becoming more than just a "space ship game". They'll make it more accessable to newbies, and give you something to do whilst your camped in a station.
If you dont like that then tough ****.

By 'the standard In-Station Interface' do you mean the station services buttons?
......The one's that are still there in Incarna?
Gotta love the way that the F&I forum is full of posts from people who don't check out the new feautures and pay no real interest in any development discussion.

I think you should start with the old in-station interface when you dock, and you could then exit your ship. and go into the station if you want to. And if you don't like that transition, you could set something in the menu so that you always go to captain's quarters when you dock.
You should only be forced to exit your ship when someone decides they have a bone to pick with you. --

I am a strong supporter in adding new and interesting options for players. With that said, I also strongly support leaving 'legacy' mechanics in for as long as possible so that those who WISH to use the newest and greatest things can. And those who don't want to are still happy as well.
If we will have all the mechanics and tools that the in-station interface has available at our disposal, I see no reason why keeping those options available for the older playerbase should be an issue.
All it would take is one simple option to select 'load into bay' or 'load into quarters' in the esc menu. Another simple button to transfer between the two, and your set.

The devs already told that the old neocom-Links (fittin, Market, Contarct, R&D etc) will still be there just added the feature to "go" there. So no change for you + added fun for those who like it.
