New JB nerfs are, simply put, POO POO. As currently described to us, the logic is POO POO as well.
I can (almost) understand Cap ship restrictions, but why only one JB per system?
We all want people to go to 0.0 and live out there, but then we take away any ability of them to build the infrastructure they want? Empire systems are not limited to one jump gate, why the hell should alliance routs?
No interaction as an excuse - Are you kidding me!. 50+ jump roam over the past two weeks and 80% of the space is EMPTY EMPTY EMPTY. Thats is: empty as in no one in local, not hiding out somewhere. We only saw maybe 30 people Despite that we managed to hunt down and kill 20 people. No one then was blaming JBs.
How is limiting JBs going to do help with interaction when 0.0 is such a void anyway, we don't even have the people out there yet to make it work. Besides, JB give a great opportunity for popping people. We scope out JBs for intel and targets all the time, so thanks for taking THAT away.
Is CCP going to tell us when and how we should roam now? Because that is what we do when we want to PVP, remember roams, another reason we don't need JB nerfs. Never saw multiple JBs per system as a reason for not killing people, and I can't remember anyone claiming as much.
Just seems like a decision from someone who does not even get their hands dirty in game, totally vacuous. I use to have faith these things would make sense down the line, but that just isn't happening anymore.

Dev A: Sir! Large swaths of 0.0 are worthless, nobodies out there. Dev B: So! Lets go ahead and make 0.0 even harder to make a profit out of! Dev A: BRILLIANT!
Seriously, a good JB network was what set apart a good alliance's 0.0 holdings from High sec and low sec. Building empires in 0.0 my ass. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Once upon a time 0.0 was worth it just for the PvP and belt ratting.
Then lv4's, capitals, jumpbridges etc was introduced. -

and why not? You think the liquid ozone just magically appears in JBs? That JB networks spring fully formed from the head of Zeus?
You do nothing in High Sec, you get some perks You work your ass off in 0.0, you better get more. and further more why do i even need a sig? |

Oh dear god, what a hissy that was. Do you feel better now? Because you're talking absolute ****.
If you don't like logistics and infrastructure work, then stop ****ing doing it. Nobody has your hand to a fire. You are not doing it for a wage (or are you?). You maintain a few JBs and your reward is essentially highsec security, actually better than highsec since you can be proactive in defense of your carebear systems. Negating almost all of the logistical danger is rediculous. No amount of indignant rage will change that.

Aparently small roams are easily avoided completely as the small guys use are using these strange inventions called 'gates' which as I understand it, are system to system choke points".
CCP GotAClue : " bollox, they were supposed to be used lightly and at great cost. What happened here? Oh everyone has a super cap now and enough isk for 2 spares. Didnt see this coming until quite recently. I know, they can keep their silly networks, but must touch one gate every 10 systems they can completely bypass the gates of. Now, if they moan, we'll know we are in the right path."
CCP BluntInplement : "ok, I'll get the message passed on"
So .., you idiots are still complaining and you haven't even spotted that it's barely a nerd at all. CCP next move, remove these heinous infernal machines from the game completely. At least deserve your criticism"

When I first heard about this JB NERF I thought maybe it would be better for the game, but then I remembered the issue that is currently happening in 0.0 & Lowsec where blobs of SuperCarriers (30/40+ that is) are able to take down just about anything within a few minutes & all the time the defenders have to catch them at it is gained by using logistics routes that are paid for & also have a continuous cost to use for each person.
So basically CCP want to fix the lag in 0.0 by making even less people want to live out there?
JB's are not gateways of safety or hidden travel, in fact most times using gates is probably a whole lot safer the way things currently are in most parts of 0.0... I mean it isn't uncommon to find whole regions with no people in them & with the current state of SC's & the way they are being used it is making it very hard for anyone that isn't aligned with a coalition to get a start in 0.0. Which basically just adds to the problem of the MEGA-BLOBS & dying nodes.
Does CCP want to turn 0.0 space into a place where there are only a few coalitions that control 65% of the space & the rest is either NPC or just plain rubbish space? Are they promoting 0.0 as being the domain of MEGA-Alliances & MEGA-Coalitions ONLY?
Why not just remove capitals & JB's from the game & take everything back 6 yrs to when a BS was the biggest ship in the game? Hell while they are at it they could even take POS's, warp to 0 & anything else that was added to the game after it's first release away again couldn't they?
Anyway I think there will be a good few people that will show their disappointment with CCP & EVE by walking away from the game & moving on to one of the other space based MMO's that have recently opened their doors etc.
CCP will do what THEY want anyway so whats the point?

OH NOES, THE SKY IT IS FALLING!!!!!!!!
Funny, I could have sworn that there were large alliances and groups of people living in an area called 0.0 at a time BEFORE jump bridges, cap ships and all that gubbins. Oh thats it, I remember now, that was when 0.0 dwellers had a spine, a stomach that wasn't yellow and the ability to actually operate a decent supply line.

Fixed that... The problem to me isn't that one or two nerfs. The problem is the trend ... and that there says to be contraditionary ideas at work. First Dominion with a 0.0 system, then all the small patches that negates what Dominion did. And then some.
so there should be a sig here? |
