I've been away from the game for a year or so and I just came back  My old corp is gone and I haven't seen any of my close Eve-friends around (they are probably gone too). The point of my post is - I want opinions on what players find fun these days. I have to decide what I want to do, where I want to live, etc. Over the years (I originally started in 2004) I've participated in most aspects of the game and I pretty much found enjoyment in all of them, so I don't think I have a preference at this point. So, what do you find to be most fun these days?

mainly PVP and missions, i do mining but only to support my missioning with making modules

Tear-farming.
- Ninja Salvaging
- Can-flipping
- Goading carebears into shooting at me
- Ransoming [then flipping a coin to see if I honor it]

One thing to try if you haven't already, is go visit new eden and see the eve gate. It was well worth the shuttle trip, and the surrounding systems have awesome names like, exit and dead end.
Dead end has a special surprise in it if you like sci fi movies.

As for what I find fun, I currently enjoy running incursion encounters when I have the opportunity. Other than that I'm often running missions, doing PI or setting up manufacturing jobs while chatting to my hisec carebear corpmates.

Thanks for the comments everyone. I have been to the Eve gate (it's been years), but what the heck, maybe I'll make the pilgrimage again. I guess I'm leaning to doing something more pvp oriented, though I probably won't commit to alliance life (I'm assuming it's still more like a job than fun). I guess my main task, once I get myself organized, will be to find the right corp. Happy to be back, but starting over is a pain.

The Evegate is new... rolled out a few months ago
Alliance life can be pretty fun if you're in the right alliance.
