I'm currently playing two accounts on eve and have recently bought a second screen.
I would like to know if its possible to add something to the end of a windows short-cut that tells the client which screen to display on?

Create new shortcut for second account, add "/end /LUA:OFF" to it. It'll create a separate settings instance in client's instalaltion folder. (I hope you didn't made a mistake of installing a game into %ProgramFiles%...) Then use "Fixed window" mode + assign each client it's own video device. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

6 clients x 7 screens. No need to do anything, Eve will reopen on the screen it was closed on. |

One client. There's no need to waste HDD space with six of them. And no, it won't. but quick Esc-Esc helps to wrest it into proper screen. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Yes, it will if you run separate clients. It may use more HD space, but HD space is cheap. Also, it is often advantageous to keep your settings for the various clients seperate.
If you prefer to keep them identical, they yes, one client is more efficient.

Only one EVE Online client installation is needed. You only need to update this one client when new patches are available. Each separate junction point/shortcut that you make will have its own Cache and Settings folders. Each separate EVE client shortcut will have its own Cache and Settings information stored separately. _

They will be separate.

Tried that before. Unless they changed it recently, by settings still ended in the same folder in AppData :/ for each junction point. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

I don't have 6 separate installs. I have 1 install with 6 clients on 2 graphics cards. |

Are you sure you did it right ? If you did it right, it should appear to you if you navigate the HDD that you have multiple copies of EVE in separate folders, but changing anything in one folder will automatically change it in all the others, and occupied HDD space is the same as a single copy. If that doesn't happen, you haven't managed to make the proper junction, so obviously it will do nothing.
But yeah, they might have changed something at some time, I haven't needed to use multiple clients lately so haven't (re)tested it personally recently. _

Certainly I did. :) Though you've better impression of my skills. Made a junction point (C:/Games/EVE2) to EVE installation (C:/Games/EVE), started client from it (by hands, not by shortcut), and it picked settings from the original client. I was disappointed, but at that time I hardly need that functionality, so I resorted to /LUA:OFF for second client and forgot it all for a while. Now I have a feeling that I should have checked, WHICH Exefile.exe the launcher were using, but alas, the past is gone. Now I know how to start ExeFile directly, and I'm gonna try to see if it'd work straight at last. -- Thanks CCP for cu |

Once you have the two clients you can tell the game which screen/res you want to run each one on. I just use the options in the game's graphics settings menu. Choose a res and screen number, set it to "fixed window" and you're away laughing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ "If men make war in slavish obedience to rules, they will fail." ~ Ulysses S. Eve does have a setting to tell the client which video card/screen to offload the processing to. But other than that, no.

Ended up using this method, works perfectly.
Thanks all.

Junctions FTW 1 icon for each - you can have different settings for each one, I have several setup for alts, for 0.0 operation | wormhole | empire | production etc...
