In before CCP! So how many bugs will await us fellow Mac players this time? Will there be a Mac client at all? Questions, questions.

Logged in - server up and running. Patch size was 11.5 MB
Relocating mission ship towards new Jita area agent. 20 jumps. Standing of 9.9+ towards old agent located at a semiremote highsec system useless now. Grinding ahead. |

Dude, if you have so much trouble with the Mac Client, just read back your own posts, why are you in the Empress name still here!?

Because I'm not out of ISK yet. And there's plenty to learn what not to do as a software company. lol
P.S.: Just earned some millions. I can station trade Jita from my new mission hub now. More Jita trading! Cool!

The client works very good, i use mac client (on imac late 2009) since 4 month. Only the bug when i click on logout the client restarts but show only an black screen an the cpu load is @55% still exists. This bug is not every time, no cycle.. its still random.

After the patch today i get this thing when i can't click alot of the tabs in game and when suddenly some tab is working it won't show any text. Restarting the client solves the problem for a while.

Perhaps this is a Mac-specific issue ..
Three of us in the family here are on MacBookPros and are having some key assignment issues. Ctrl is for targeting, we use alt/option for PTT on teamspeak, and Command for window switching. Now that the probe sizing supposedly uses alt, are there any suggestions for PTT on TS?
Also, we've not actually gotten the probe resizing to work using the alt key. Are we missing something?

[, ], \, = are all good choices. I Personally use the = key for PTT on my Macbook Pro

The new scanning ALT key functionality doesn't appear to work on my Macbook.
Key mapping issue?

the black screen is back. When I quit eve and restart it later (with or without hybernate) a black screen appears. Only a restart of the mac helps.

It's my impression CCP fixed some stuff when it comes to restarting the client after getting disconnected and the like.
Once you get that black screen check whether there are any stale leftover EVE processes still running from the old client and kill them prior to restarting the client, e.g. open up a terminal and try:
ps aux killall cider killall wineserver killall -9 cider killall -9 wineserver

an do you notice some odd behavior of the corp chat? It 'rebuilds' often, which makes it flicker and stealing focus from other text input fields like notes or mail.

Check whether you've got some "set chat channel focus" shortcut set [to space?]. Delete it.

Well it was rock solid before but since this patch for me at least the stuck modifier keys are back, the client lags real bad during busy missions, the audio breaks up occasionally, real bad when using USB headphones, slightly bad when not but while wearing the headphones it breaks up to the point of locking up the client just flying around, and the client also freezes sometimes during missions.
Oh and the jukebox still isnĘt fixed.

And there's iTunes.
And I still got a surplus EVE client spawning in parallel after regular DT shutdown.
It'd be so easy to write a little shell script wrapper.
