For tactical/personal reasons, my medclone is in an outpost in 0.0 that I do not having docking rights to.
CCP have deemed this to be my "home" system and have dutifully dumped them there.
I don't want to SD my pod to go and get them.
Why couldn't we just redeem them to any station like all the other **** they've given us in the past? (Quafe Zero, etc)

So now we all have the ability to petition to move skillbooks thereby bypassing game mechanics of the market, jump clones, med clones, couriers and so on?
Is that fair?

What about the people that probably got ganked going for their skill books? do they get reembursement now that this player can petition to get his moved to him on a silver platter without risk?
Does this rule apply to all or just him?

He didn't say how he gets assisted. A quick forced undocking and GM podding would assist the OP in getting to his skillbooks, too. --------

But this is the issue of fairness in the game, something that CCP got caught red handed on blueprints long ago. Remember that scandal?
He is in the same game as us, now he is getting assistance that we didn't get to get his items?
Doesn't sound fair.

I have a clone like that too. The station name is Hotel California. When I was kicked from an alliance I had a jump clone there. Spent a couple months jumping to sell all the left over POS fuel from when we got kicked out. Two pencils, sharpened to a razor-like point, are my only defense. |

So GM's I have an item in nullsec I cannot get, can you move it to rens for me please?
I think in the interest of fairness in EVE because of this action now on this player to move his items for him, we should all get a free movement of one nullsec item per account.
In the interest of fairness and equality on customers.

Edited by: Jack Tronic on 19/05/2011 19:52:33 You do realize that having a med clone in a outpost you can't access just causes it to spawn you in the last station you docked at with clone services right? Only useful thing you can do is leave a jump clone. Otherwise you'll end up in empire or npc null after podding regardless.

Fixed.
To get back on topic, it was a tad surprising (and inconvenient) to have the books appear at our cloning station instead of in our current station.

Fairness from CCP to all players or not treat some as special (like they did with some corps and Blueprints in the past) is not an issue?

The reason why GMs will move the skill books in Abaroth Charmar's case, and other players in the same situation, is because CCP placed the item in a location that is not accessible to them. If you can't dock in the station CCP placed the skill books at then you are free to petition and ask the GMs to help.

Eve rewards brains (and luck.) The OP was smart enough to ask for help and lucky enough for a Dev to respond.
Or are you going to tell me that being smarter is unfair and everyone should get rewards equal to what the smartest/most talented/most successful people can achieve? If you want Communism, try ... err... are there any games that are based on the ideals of communism?
To get back on topic: * CCP should send everyone an in-game email (and/or regular email) warning them about such changes. (Since not everyone reads the forums regularly.) Especially since a non-trivial amount of people seem to have missed the message how the new skill books were being handled.

this is fair ccp made a mistake, and are willing to fix it. it is only fair that players should have access to skill books that replaced old books they already had.

Theres a difference. The GM's spawned an item in a place that he can't access. Its a problem he shouldn't have to deal with and I have no issue with CCP fixing an issue they caused. You should stop posting on the matter. I know you are aiming for a "quirky and out there" smartass persona but to most people you just come acrross as stupid because of your inability to see the differences in the situations you try to compare.
