I been patiently sitting around thinking this has GOT to be some sort of mistake. I can't believe the level of stupidity it must have taken to remove this feature on purpose. And then to back it up with a statement indicating you don't like export options. I would have laughed if I wasn't already so aggravated by it being removed.
I have built a business on eve of paying miners to mine and paying percentage based on a per piece basis. You just shut down the business since there is no way I can handle the same sized fleets I used to be able to and still sort out the bookwork with a realistic time table. Without this export ability my op leaders FC IV skill is essentially useless now. Of course so will FC I II and III since there is no way I can handle the time involved in sorting out pay due to miners.
If you care about what your users think then please, put this export feature back in, or give it to us in an api some how. I could care less if you make it auto export every so often like chat logs do, but give us something!

You know another thing this helps with is in the middle of ops when we go link dead, or the server goes down or you need to "emergency reboot" like you just did today, if the mining op leader has been keeping up on exporting the log frequently then we have the ability to dig through the logs and pay people for what was mined/looted before the crash/emergency shut down.
Without it, we're reduced to scrolling through the list and taking screen shots of the log. Seriously, I used to think Eve was one of the most cutting edge games on the market when it came to MMO's.

You never tried to cheat the loot log? Try it, it's wonderful. Just drop a can and deposit-loot it multiple times with the same ore chunk. The current "loot log" is in no way authoritative for any purpose but eyecandy.
I know roughly what ships can pull and when I get new miners I watch them for a while. After I decide they seem to be honest they fall into the rest of the group which I randomly check one or two people every op. If I catch someone cheating I watch them closer (mistakes happen) but if I find consistency in it they will be done in my ops. I've only had to fire one miner since the roll out of loot logging.
This is a very useful tool and just because it can be circumnavigated and used as a scam doesn't mean it doesn't have a relevant place in New Eden.
Again, please bring it back.

Originally by: Tonto Auri It has a place, if it could be wholly tracked down to container ID's, as in, a squential LOGGING, not just an incremental COUNTER as it stands now.
Sure it could be "better" than it was. What feature in Eve can we discuss that someone wouldn't have a way to improve it or an idea of what would make it better even if they don't have a solution. Regardless of that point the feature as it "WAS" worked fine. It could easily be exported and the data copy and pasted into Excel where it could be converted to a table and manipulated endlessly. That is far faster and easier than just getting an actual time stamp log which we then have to develop parsing tools for before we can use the data.
I would love to see both options. The export like we had, and an auto-log system which automatically logs the loot to a file all the time like our chat channels do. It could do it for every character in or out of a fleet. That would be even more valuable. Whatever, at some level they need to return it to the game.

Well I'm not sure if I'll keep the business going that we're running if this doesn't get changed back. It's taking me way too long to do bookwork on small fleet ops now let alone running the big ones I was running.
Been debating the last day or so about just canceling my 7 accounts and going elsewhere since the only reason I'm here is for the business aspect anyways. It's simply too much time out of my day to try to break this crap down manually all the time. Not like they'd even feel my $1260.00 a year missing.
Of course if I leave, it's likely my two kids will follow me and thats another 4 accounts.

There is no link and I was scolded for posting the response to my petition.
It's nice to know they are watching close enough to scold you but are far to busy to give us any feedback other then the "I don't like export ability" type answer... I would think if I got my paycheck from customers I'd learn to like what they like as long as it didn't have negative impacts on the product.
I guess I'm just stuck in that old time customer service way of thinking.

Market prices will be shifting drastically. I know many indy corps are stopping production and ops because of this. Sadly enough I dont think CCP gives an isk what we think.

No mention of the export feature being fixed. I may have to drive to Vegas next month and ply Soundwave with liquor and hookers.
Someone has to do something, I want this feature back! I'm sick of taking screen shots to try to keep track of loot because I might go link dead and entering the data by hand now SUCKS. Ready to quit running ops.
Though, maybe thats what they were hoping for was to push up market prices?

Originally by: CCP Punkturis This functionality has been added back internally and will be deployed later
The menu item will be located in the settings menu in the top left corner of the fleet window.
Enjoy!
I can't even begin to say thank you enough times! Thanks so much! This will certainly mean I can push back into mining ops with my crew!
