What are they going to have, a mining tournament? Perhaps a production contest?
People will be glued to their computers watching that one.
Ever notice that there aren't baseball bat making competitions on tv? It's because no one gives a crap. Same goes for Internet spaceships. Let's blow some stuff up, not watch a bunch of mining lasers cycle.

I suppose they could set up a contest wherein you pit two teams of ten against each other in identical asteroid belts and they race to see who can mine it out first.
I'm sure it'd make absolutely riveting video too.

Which event would you like to see organized by CCP for the industrialists of EvE-Online?
Would something like this please you?
- EvE Industrialist Tournament.
- Which team can mine the most minerals in 10 minutes
- Which team can get the most successful invention jobs from a set of 10 jobs
- Which team can haul the most tritanium 10 jumps away, in 10 minutes.
Maybe I misunderstood what you are asking for? If so please clarify.

Which team can clear an incursion faster?
In any case, I the videos would not be very entertainign to watch.
Blowing up ships which are piloted by fellow players is much more entertaining to do and watch, than blowing up NPC or mining.

I thought industrialists took part in the AT by building the ships and mods used and replacing them and ships after the fights are over?
The OP has no clue what he is talking about. Industrialists play a key part in the AT.

There was a tournament several years ago for miner types. It was the least popular and worst attended tournament iirc. I'm sure some of the other old timers could probably tell you about it but they're more than likely trying to block out that memory. It was that bad.
