How about referal codes that veteran players can give to friends who left the game pre-Exodus to come back again with their old characters to try the game again for free?
Have already convinced some players to come back with trial accounts, but it's more difficult to convince them to stay when they are training learning skills for the 14 days of their trial, just in case they decide to continue.
I know it's not a reward that you can pin on your ship or store in a station container somewhere, but I would much rather have it.
They did something similar in EnB where they gave out referal codes to vets not sure what sort of success it was though, because I think most people just used them for free skill points. ----------------------- Honor and Serve!

The fact that you have 10 mill + SP and hundreds and hundreds of millions is not enough?
Wtf,give me some of those SP and ISK then.

Wtf,give me some of those SP and ISK then.
Those who started playing EVE right after the game went life probably have more than 20 million skillpoints and billions of isk.

Less if you include breaks and if you didn't train up your learnings to 5 early on.
Lets say your average starting player is between 15 and 25 million atm. those with breaks taken without keeping training going can be even lower. _______________________________________________

Vet rewards are bad if mmorpg plan to get new subscribers even if it was cosmetic. New players dont want to sign up to game where they feel like they are "too late". We want new players to sign up for eve right?
New player rewards would make more sense, but vet reward.

Ok here's how it would be if you had your way. "Welcome to Eve, you will now how a reward for joining, to completely **** off the loyal customers we've had for over a year" Honestly, vets do need a little reward. I'd like an enhancement to my char pic, like a gold medal. So when people pull up your info they see the nice little medal \o/ ------------------------------------------

Edited by: DigitalCommunist on 18/02/2005 01:05:36 Bleh, I'd rather they fix the ******* balance issues and make the game live up to all those blatand lies and broken promises we had to put up with, than get some token of appreciation for putting up with crap for so long.

Seriously the fact that you have a godlike character should be reward enough.
Gimme 100 million if you think your billions dont matter much then.
Gimme even 5% of your SP......

Originally by: ollobrains one word - planetary involvement - planet based trade markets, missions, weapons productions perhaps even run youre own planet supply its market needs
New systems ? Casino to gamble all those ISKs on New systems where veterans can go one on one in combat ?
this would be kinda cool. not sure about missions..but trade research production and material aquisition. basically POS that you can install on planets. maybe actually make the fact that a planet is (ice) useful.
or maybe planets with lots of cities good for building and trading.

hmm. i know in the star wars game they gave everyone special goggles afetr so long and if you played for so long and then upgraded to there firts expansion they gave you a free ship... that could do nothing but fly between planets and carry items.
but for eve how about reciveing stocks from npc corps? actualy thats sounds much more like a reward from doing agent missions....
um how about a house in the station of your choice so we have something more then our ship to stare at while were in stations... and hotel rooms in all other stations?
i'm kinda tired of going into a station and starteing at my ship as it floats above the city....
