To encourage people to buy faction/officer fits on their PvE ships, make them invulnerable to being destroyed when ship is blownup.
if thats to much to ask, atleast make it an option to 'insure them' - which will reinforce their hp to a point where they dont blow up
accidents happen alot, especially when doing incursions

Yes please - so that when we see that pimped out faction/officer fitted ship we are guaranteed to get a perfect drop when we suicide gank it, thus encouraging more suicide ganks.
Fantastic idea!

Never gonna happen. Destruction of items is what drives the EVE economy forward and keeps the demand high enough so that people are interested on acquiring them for profit.

Why would you want to so completely eviscerate the value (ISK, bling, and brag) of those items?
The whole point of them is that they're effective, but also rare and costly ù if you remove the two latter points, they'd have to be nerfed something fierce. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

How is that relevant? Just because it wouldn't cause the apocalypse immediately after implementation, doesn't mean it's a good idea or an idea worth implementing. If those modules never leave the economy, over time they will only become cheaper and more common, while everything else becomes worthless and there is less need to buy new modules from the market. They are supposed to be luxury items and gank magnets, that only the few can afford and that is how they need to stay.

Dont forget to include another factor into the equation. Which is that people get tired of flying same ship all the time, so when the time comes to replace the ship for another, he will be selling all those items for about same price as he bought them.

What is the actual problem you're trying to solve? Get people to fit officer/deadspace modules on their ships? They already do that, especially on PvE ships!

Yep, I lol-ed. :)
Actually, I would ere support a proposal to the contrary: Officier/Factions mods are always destroyed when your ship goes boom. Now, THAT would hurt you suicide gankers (although you could still ransom folks, of course).
But nah, mods destroyal should remain chance based (or however it's done precisely: obscure enough, at least, so you're never really sure what drops). --

it isnt so much a problem, its more of a 'with this change both pve and pvp people will be happy'
In the case of incursion runners, Concord could offer insurance to high value modules, since they are helping with the war/invasion, Concord plays the role of service/supplier to the war.

Why would they be happy with everyone dropping worthless mods? Why would everyone else be happy with their normal mods now being completely obsoleted?
Your change basically removes all modules that have an officer equivalent from the game. It is bad for everyone in every sense, shape, and form.
The only way to make that kind of change work would be to reduce the capabilities of those mods to "civilian" levels, at which point no-one would be happy with them anyway. ùùù ôIf you're not willing to fight for what you have in ≡v≡à you don't deserve it, and you will lose it.ö ù Karath Piki |

They tried a few years ago a nerf on prices to make the faction issues more abundant in the game. Check this: http://www.eveonline.com/devblog.asp?a=blog&bid=671
However, being at war and hated in a faction is not very rewarding in the long term and ppl just kept doing missions and PvPing in corps. So, to answer your question properly: wait, maybe, a year or two, until the new mission system is deployed.

Nah, it's the best part of Eve. Inflict has much isk dmg you can to your opponents right? I'd say, make them all be primary destroyed Items. For pve, specially when you run incursions I know a certain Cambarus or Liang that will tell you you're doing it wrong if you cry for lost officer modules, those are getting richer than ever (by the way you can send me some millions for this free pub hum?) ________________________________________________
