My question has to do with my dilemma, i need to get a lot of stuff (like 100k to 2mil m3) out of a low sec (.3 - .4 only 2 jumps are below .5) region. My problem is I lost an Orca the other day goddamn they are expensive, I was Jammed somehow, I had one warp stab but that wasn't enough.
First Question - Is an Orca my best chance at building a ship with a decent cargo that can travel safely through 99% of the gate camps? and how would I go about fitting it to escape death?
Second - is there a better option ship wise to make less trips and safely?

Blockade Runners, or MWD/Cloak + pray. Orca and "safely through gatecamps" don't really go together. At the very least you should have a scout.

Hire someone with a carrier or preferably a jump freighter, bypass those gatecamps altogether.
I say hire because if an Orca is expensive to you then these will blow your mind.

He needs stuff moved out of lowsec, into highsec: jumpfreighter will do him no good. --

jump to non-kickoff station 1 jump from highsec dock undock warp to stargate, invincible as you are ------------------------------- When I mitigate risks in business, they call me financially sound. When I mitigate risk in PVP, they call me a coward.
I'm still rich, and they're still dead. |

When there are hostile gate-camps, and I have a very large volume to move I use Black Frog - fixed fee 45m isk lowsec to hisec.

I've used them twice now, and been very satisfied.

If it is not heavily gate-camped I usually use a scout or two (one ahead, one behind) and fit the Orca with a MWD (needs a low slot PG module to fit it). MWD+Warp = guaranteed 10s warp from a gate for the Orca which is nice.
Alternately, make one of the scouts a fleeted Rapier and double web the Orca as it enters warp, making it insta-warp. This method deos require lots of practice to get the timing right though, and aggro flags you.

I believe this was your orca?

Nothing will get away you away from a broadsword's scram. I recommend using a scout prior to bringing in an expensive and slow ship like an orca or freighter. Having a friend web you to lower your top speed once you align is another way of getting into warp quicker then you would otherwise.

A jump freighter would be best, but they can be a bit impractical. Otherwise I'd suggest getting some friends and flying it out with blockade runners. If the gate camp has a HIC in it no amount of stabs will help, in those cases a blockade runner is going to be your safest bet for getting stuff in/out.
