next summer would be the perfect time to introduce mechs to the eve universe.
They should be the most expensive things that can be brought onto a dust battlefield too.
And the best thing is: Through the low-medium-high slot fitting scheme, they could be customized, just like real battle-mechs should be.

Edited by: JC Anderson on 12/06/2011 04:46:37 This was brought up once before... And somebody linked a chronicle that actually had mecha/power suits mentioned in it.

Actually, I'm not sure your armor choices are far off. I was reading something that indicated you'd have fitting slots on your armor somewhere. Not sure if I liked that idea, but Mech's would be really cool.

Who knows when that will ever be released... All tied up in legal wrangling apparently.
For now your going to have to just download and play Mechwarrior living legends. ;) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0xaG2ozZICI&feature=fvsr
Love how they made a mech's power plant blowing a truly amazing sight and yet deadly to those nearby.

Planetside MAXes would be more appropriate.

I miss Mechwarrior 2, used to have to create a boot disk in order to play it because my 486sx33 (\m/) couldn't run it if windows (3.1) was running at the same time
Had 16mb of ram in that mofo

MTAC¦s would be cool for a start, but they are to small to serve as real battle-mechs, which are meant to be multi-weapon platforms (and therefore would also be the most skill-intensive and most expensive vehicles for Dust)
Would be cool if CCP created special 0.0 battlefields which are huge enough to deploy battle-mechs on them. Battlemechs would then be restricted to the 0.0 battlefields.
Which only makes sense since 0.0 warfare always involved the biggest vehicles.

Minus the fact I will never play it due to it being on Sonys failstorm of a console. No no and no. Planetside was a total right off after bfrs came out. Mechs suck and should stay in there own genre.

Meat is cheap, Mechs are not.
There may be some but they would have to be Dust's version of the super-capitals (as originally envisioned!) if it to have any meaning.

I think the walkers in BF2142 were the most fun and the coolest I've played so far. There is something very gratifying about stomping around, guns blazing. The fact it can be two-manned worked very well.
