Hi,
I've been wondering, which class of wormhole is, on average, is the least habited?
Are C1 wormholes emptier than C6s, and are C2 wormholes busier than C1?
I'm looking into setting up a POS in a C1/C2, and I'm just trying to work out where I will least likely be competing with others for the system.
Thanks in advance!

Edited by: Sir Oliver Midwestshire on 13/06/2011 17:32:15 C4 to 6 classes are well traveled because of the PVE they provide. And any ships attempting these will also be fitted well enough to attempt to take on PVP if they are forced too. If you settle here and a PVE crowd comes in, they will without a doubt attempt to attack you after they dealt with the sleepers. If they don't attack they will probably relay your location to a larger fleet.
C1 and C2 wormholes will be populated more due to how appealing they sound. Chances are if you have the idea of going there, other people do.
I'd say C3 is the best bet. Although keep in mind that sleepers will warp scramble you so be prepared.
Also there is no such thing as guaranteed isolation. It will only be a matter of time before some wandering explorer discovers your system. If he finds the outpost, the location will be relayed back to his corp or the nearby blob. If possible run patrols 23/7 to intercept anyone that enters the system. Although if you attack them, they will probably assume you have POS there.
In short, just be ready to GTFO when you get discovered.
...Oh and I'm the guy who founded the city between Eastshire and Westshire. Nobody visits it though. |

Seriously, paranoid much? You're not going to lose your POS to the first guy who finds it, it's just too much work and not worth it to take one down unless you've got a really good reason to.
Just put up a large POS with good enough defenses (hardeners, ecm, a few guns etc) and you'll be fine for the most of the time.

IMO C1 and C2 that do not have a low or high sec static are about as safe as it gets. For the most part the max mass on the static WH's are relatively low therefore very few ships can make it though in one go. I am referring mostly to how many BS's can fit in these WH's. It is WAY to much work just to take down a large tower in a WH with these kind of statics without some serious reason.

Any WH that has a WH static is less likely to be inhabited. That being said, I have been living in a c5 with a c5 static, and apparently no one likes c5's... 90% of the WH's that I've connected to are empty. Of course, it is always very annoying when you have a connecting c5 system with a c5 static, which connects to another c5 with a c5 static. I think my longest streak was 6 in a row, and I was starting to wonder when I would complete the loop and get a c5 connecting into the c5 I started out in...

C3's are very popular, I would say C5/6 are less popular.
