I believe quite a few titans are considered corp / alliance assets and are funded with moongoo etc.

^^^ above poster just quoted a very expensive 10 man setup, with a chance to lose it due to WH 0.0 environment.
Alternatively to that you can do incursions - with 10 men - vanguard sites. If you are good at them you can finish a site in 5 mins, not have to worry about the dangers of wormholes, get 105mil collectively(10.5 mil per person) and only invest in your personal ships.
If you push real hard you can make 10 sites in an hour, for 10 men it will mean a bil. in 70 hours you have a titan(not sure but I think they're worth around 70 bil).
As an added bonus you can keep pushing even when your buddies are not online(which is the 1 thing that always frustrated me in WH's - the constant waiting for the group to get together) - incursions are popular places and there's always a fleet wanting a logi or good t3 or DPS.

IS that why Goons have so much creds, cause the alliance pays for them?
Or do they really scam it all from unsuspecting newbs, like you all claim ;P

Russian RMT / Botting - Funded a couple hundred supercaps, dozen of titans and a 600B per month payout to PL to wage war against the Northern Coalition. When you can run a bot 24/7 unabated from CCP for a year raking in couple hundred mil a day, yeah you can buy all the titans you want.
Apparently a bot hammer has been dropped but time will tell. Most everyone else not so easy, alliances and corps try to fund titans while the players try to fund capitals and most of the supercaps.
My suggestion learn to speak russian, I think they give them away when if you log in more than once a week.

Botting. Trade gurus. Moongoo. Plex/RMT.
It's usually one of those or something along those lines. If it involves ratting/plexing/missions it's usually a multi account undertaking and will sometimes be done with botting. _________ EVE is like the "Fisherman's Friend" of MMOs. If it's too hard, you are too weak. |

Edited by: King Rothgar on 18/06/2011 23:54:48 TBH it's not terribly hard for a corp to fund one. Back when I was in amarrian retribution we discussed the possibility of going super carrier heavy. Half the corp members were cap pilots and thanks to our lvl5 and wormhole running, we could easily fund them privately. We decided not to go that route, but there were several of us who could have purchased them entirely with our own private funds. With that kind of capability, we could have banded together for a corp titan. But as said, we didn't go that route. If I really wanted an SC, I could farm the 15-20B required in around 3 months. But I don't really want one, I like my recons and BC's as well as leeroying the occasional crystal maelstrom with tengu booster.
