I'm asking because I can't research any blueprint since I came back to Eve, petitioned 48 hours ago and got no answer yet...not even acknowledged, is this normal, what is the normal delay to get an answer?
Generally when I send a petition in a MMO I get a reply in 24 hours so I'm wondering what is happening?

I've never had a petition take more than a few minutes, but then I only petition things that deserve being petitioned and all my petitions have been resolved in my favor.

Obviously longer than 24 hours. Also if you aren't aware there was a DDOS related outage last night which is undoubtedly crapping up the petition queue along with the fact that a patch with considerable back-end changes was only recently released which is guaranteed to have bugs left right and centre which are also being petitioned. ~~~

That's not an explanation since I petitioned 24 hours before the DDOS outage.

Depends on category you filed it in (and if it really belongs in there). "Stuck" is uberfast, technical stuff is rather slow. Depends on how many people experience the same issue right now, or a similar category of issues. Tried clearing your cache ? Depends on how many GMs are available. Right now, they might be quite busy with the aftermath of the DDOS attacks. Right now, I would not be surprised if some petitions needed up to a full week to get any response (they don't do "acknowledge", they only do "need more data" or actual answer, even if sometimes it's a "canned" one). _

Resonse time also has to do a lot with your phrasing and conciseness.
More importantly though, this type of problem doesn't get priority, so expect to wait 1 or 2 more days. -

Last time I petitioned in 2007, they took 9 days to answer me and I didn't get a proper answer. I guess it did not improve. However thanks for your replies.

Your logic appears to be flawed here, as any improvement over 9 days would be an improvement now, would it not? -

Anything over 24 hours is sub standard and not an improvement.

If it's not an improvement anyway, I'm sure the GM's will not bother to give your petition priority as they've got 7 more days.
Also, can I have your stuff? -

sub standard? out of all the MMO's available for play, the majority have consistant petition response times of under 24 hours?? Seriously, your issue reported affects you alone from the looks of things, therefore, back of the low priority queue goes your petition. As people above have pointed out, there are numerous current events causing "sub standard" playability for thousands of players which are of much greater importance.

Yes, most games I petitioned gave me an answer under 24 hours. Sometimes that was not the perfect answer but something like "We are looking into it".
There are no players more important than others, I cannot research anything and that breaks my gameplay.

It seems that I have old blueprints ghosted somewhere that prevent me to research. Feel free to petition for them when I've quit.

1 player has an isue..... 10,000 players have different issue...... What, as a gaming company, would you give higher priority? Just because YOU feel they should tend to your needs first, doesn't mean thats the way things are, or should be. Honestly, do you have any idea what running a service like EVE requires? Sometimes, just have patience.
Also, your last petition took 9 days, this time, you are complaining about 2 days. By my figuring, you still have a week to go to match, and see a non-improvement in customer service since your last request. If they answer before 7 days, it's an improvement by your own experience.

Just over two weeks
5 days for each petition and three petitions to get a GM with the right voices in his head ...Then when you stopped to think about it. All you really said was Lalala. |

I have patience. I will cancel my account and come back in 3 years to see if I can research then.

My petitions have taken days to answer. And its usually the automated OUR LOGS etc crap. And another 48 to get a follow up that's not automated. My nephews petition took almost a month.
I have no clue how CCP works out the petition system and queues for it. But it seems to depend on the GM you get.

Posting in a thread about CCP customer service. (Clearly no one told these people CCP does not have "Customer Service"
Although I'm sure in a few months you'll be able to pay an extra microtransaction for the pleasure of an actual customer service rep.
It appears to me that CCP is going for a serious money grab, and letting the game fall into a gaping bughole from which it will never return.
CCP seems to be investing everything in DUST (A free game) in the hopes they will get a big new revenue stream of microtransactions. So what happens when that does not happen? Price increases here we come?
