Mars Theran Caldari EVE Rogues EVE Rogues Alliance	Posted - 2011.06.19 02:52:00 - [1] Mine: Nullsec: Fly like the devils chasing your very own tail while attempting to return to High Security space, being chased by Dictors, Interceptors, Hac's and Command Ships. Occaisional breaks with fluffy clouds and not a soul in local, or just nobody bothering me. Periodically, a bit of friendly conversation, followed by me getting ganked. Lowsec: Run, run, run, try to get to the other side, while dodging Pirate camps only barely, red flashies everywhere, and smacktalk all over local. Occaisional breaks of not a soul in site; where did everyone go. Periodically, Jump into system, see red flashies, get ganked. Rarely, play silly games with Red flashies, making them mad because they can't catch you, shoot one up a bit when you get him alone, get ganked when his friends arrive. Highsec: Long boring trips, punctuated by moments of tension as Suicide gankers fleetmates scan your ship for goods before you pass through a gate into a 0.5 along your route. Often, watching station games in Hubs like Rens, sometimes joining them and getting ganked or just barely surviving because most won't fight if they can't win. More often, sitting in some station watching people smacktalk and scam in local like a bunch of perverted neophytes. Yours?

I am an advocate of more tools to aid the solo player. One is being able to hire an NPC wing-man to cover your ass through dangerous territory.

A few min of explaining later the 3 of use killed a few Macro Haulers and they went to bed. I was alone in my new sheild Cane tired and groggy. I decided I wanted to play another hour and sat on the Gate to my Sec Station in a heavily traveled pipeline. A cane bumped me off the gate and 3 of his BFF's warped in. I burned back and jumped before they targeted me. I figure the systems to hot to have any fun and it is time to take my Hauler Kills and Bow out for the night. Then that Hurricane uncloaks right next to me. We just sit there staring across the black for 30 or so seconds and I think what the hell. I convo him, he agrees to a 1v1 and I tell him to meet me at the sun. I overheat my Nuets, Guns and Invuln. He takes the can and we fight I come out on top with my first solo Battlecruiser kill. I exchange GF and go to bed for the night offering him the Wreck and Salvage. It was my first serious 1v1 and it was exciting. I don't think I will ever top how good I felt after that fight. I was very nervous as I was still learning the game.

No killing, no ganking, just the relaxing sound of mining lasers bringing daddy more isk every 180 seconds. I could reactivate my old PvP account later on should colored ships prove popular enough to merit clean up runs and if some of my old corp mates are still playing and don't try to kill me on sight if they are. But right now is just me against the endless horde of asteroids waiting for me to profit and the occasional solo mission here and there.

LowSec: spends lots of isk on wasting ships : get set up to become a ganker and find out you are again playing with people . bah .... leave low sec in disgust . HighSec: spin your ship right round baby !! mess around with exploration content . probe some holes play in the holes .die in the hole because your alone in the hole . goof around with PI and realize why you do not have a career in the stock market. spin that ship !! go moon jumping to see what you might find. after a period of months realize that eve is not a solo game . so you end up spinning ships in hope that maybe one day you will find something that makes all that spinning worth while.

Find a Catalyst mining in system, kill it within a minute of logging in (pro noob killing ). Spend the next 5 hours roaming around and watching Dramiels and AF's avoid me unless they have a couple of people to back them up. Wait until the right combination of ships are trying to blob me and either engage or just toy with them. Kill a Dramiel and Coercer camping a plex in my Comet Catch a Hawk but screw up my cap management on my Comet and watch him warp out in very low shield Wish I had brought the 'ranis. Catch a Myrmidon in a plex, kill all his drones, get him into hull only to watch his stabbed butt warp out. Log off as it's 7am. ~~~

Yes every kill you get the other person is ethier not as good as you, do not know what they are doing or have less SP. Null-sec: Doing 40+ jumps through empty space to get back to empire after ending up on the wrong side of a wormhole going bad. Low-sec: Hours of plexing in empty space, occasionally getting interrupted by roaming gangs passing through, or making a lazy attempt at finding me then giving up after a minute. Occasionally hitting a gate camp and avoiding it. Zipping through in a covops to save time. Hi-sec: Relaxing with a few missions on rare occasions. Updating trade orders. Adding a skill. Updating clone. Putting blueprints in the machine. Hauling. Sitting outside 4-4 watching stuff happen.

Every asteroid vanishes over a course of a day. High Sec - A few pirates. The Hobgoblins sort those out quick enough, earn more from bounties. Low Sec - Instant, and expensive, transportation to High Sec, sans implants and ship.
