Yo dudes,
I used to play before for about a month, so i'm familiar with interface etc and some of the starting skills etc.
I just came back right before the new incarna expansion and rolled a new toon, do you think it would be wise for me to wait 2 days until Incarna for the new player experience to get started properly, find a corp etc?
Cheers :-)

I think it's safe for you to come back before Incarna is released, there is still a lot of things you can do.

This patch will have no positive effect on your gameplay... don't see a reason to wait other than getting involved and suddenly MASSIVE DOWNTIME.

I don't think there's somehting "proper" roling out in a while, mostly just expalnation how to move around CQ since you should start there. I think you'll get that tutorial anyway when you get in CQ for the first time, so I doubt you'll lose much. Especially seing how CCP releasing only minmatar CQ for now...
Doubt that finding a corp will be much easier with CQ release, AFAIK CCP will just tell every new player "hey, there's ingame corp recruitment ADs, check that out!" and give a link to the recruitment tab of corporation interface you can access now anyway.
Only things to really worry about is a patch downtime (nothing too "fancy" is done this time, so, hopefully, won't take more than a day) and possible bugs that come ater expansion release (worst ones get fixed in week at most, unless it's somehting really complicated like dominion lag).
Plus, if you really feel like it, you can simply use spare slot on account to get that "proper new player experience" later... two days worth of skills is somehitng noticable on new character, unless you're into immersion stuff and like that pod atttached to a hangar balcony. |

Also new.
Why the new character? I originally made three characters, but once I realized you can only train one at a time I have just stayed to one. I don't see a reason to train anything on the others that could just as easily help this one. Especially when there are common prerequisites. That's just redundant training time.
2nd account maybe. 2nd character though?

Several activities can benefit from multiple characters even if they are on the same account and cannot be logged in at the same time. For example research, invention, manufacturing, trading, planetary interaction. --- I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again! People usually train a second character for a limited time for some specific purposes.
Like a low SP cyno alt to help capital pilots. Or an alliance corp holder or an alternate corp CEO. A scout. A Jita price checker, a trader. A hauler that brings stuff from highsec to low/nulsec because yor main's sec status doesn't allow it anymore. And so on.
