Dominion expansion added a few hundred milliseconds of desync to jumping through gates.
Basically impossible to be caught in low-sec without having dual remote sensor boosted ceptor who lives next to the server on you.
Perfectly safe to travel in low-sec in anything faster then BC.

When I said I was not trolling I meant it. I live in low for a moment now and yes, people using the appropriate ships or fightings are almost impossible to catch. Only lazy Rocky's Balboa's and Batmans get caught because they spend too much time admiring their biceps

I think its the surprise success of the networking guys from DUST 514 making the vision possible of calling down orbital strikes and counter orbital batteries and airstrikes from carriers. Then the final completion of the incarana foundation means that now that it has a foundation building off of it wouldnt be as taxing on human resources as making it in the first place. It be like programming a map editor being the hardest part of making a map.
With all the freed up dev teams they can shift more into space projects than keeping them where they wont be needed as much.

More likely what they meant was, they are thinking about introducing a toll or new fee payable by MT to enter low and nullsec to participate in "premium content".

It's true, I made a few hundred jouneys through lowsec and although you have to be alert it's not really dangerous. Ceptors that lock and scram you get instapopped by gate or station guns. You can easily jump by gate camps as long as you're flying an agile ship.

You honestly believe those features will be delivered within 6 years or before Eve goes F2P?
Best thing you can do is complain loudly about this non-feature when it doesn't arrive. Then CCP can strip yet more time from worthwhile fixes and devote it to delivering bull**** from trailers.

LOLWUT? CCP already back-peddled on that one. Don't expect this to be working within the next 12-18 months.
Roadmap for the next 12 months:
Summer 2011 until Winter 2011 - Incarna with 1 quarter for a start - other 3 CQ follow within a month - summer in northern hemisphere >> vacations, CCP runs on 20% - maybe some additional features for Incarna, if you're really lucky they open the door to the station and let you walk with a handfull of others (doubtfull) around Christmas - PI needs to be made fit for Dust - API refinements - Eve Gate refinements to accommodate Dust
Winter 2011 till Summer 2012 - new nebulae - reworked Sov (or maybe just first ideas get thrown around) - customs stuff + booster mechanic and system rework to make it fit for black markets - Dust beta testing - Eve needs to be made fit for Dust (chat channels, Corps, Market, etc. pp) - some gameplay and UI fixes and reworks probably here too - a handfull of ships get new textures + models - new engine trails and cyno effects are first to be seen here - hopefully more balances and start of working on a real-time balancingÖ system that works with small patches and utilises a frontend on CCPs part (turnaround time for balances from 6 months down to 2-3 weeks)
Summer 2012 till Winter 2012 - Dust get's released - Interlink with Eve will be weak and cautious (read: no surface <> space action until the rest of the mechanic works reliable) - Incarna might get it's black market and minigames - missile launcher mechanic and effects will see rework here
+ a lot of rage-thread-noughts at all occasions where CCP failed at expectation management+communication with the playerbase.
I think, that's what will happen.. and even that roadmap is hopelessly optimistic.

You confused piracy with small group warfare.
Which is odd because they have very little in common other than shooting at people.

I wonder what CCP's definition of "piracy" is.

I reckon that's pretty close. The DUST <> EVE Link will almost certainly be through the contracts system and will probably be quite bland. We're looking at years before we see any true interaction between both systems. CCP aren't talking about it because no ones working on it, or has the slightest clue how it will work.

Very sad... I see absolutely nothing significant there that interests me. Well maybe the PI if they do it right. All the rest is just infrastructure and bling. Maybe some of the piracy stuff and 0.0 will be better... honestly I dont expect much tho.

2012 - Dust514 is released, CCP is puzzled while in majority of cases EVE players don't even try to defend the ****. - Dust514 is going into the history books as some of the biggest failures in the history of game releases.

No, I still have hopes for Incarna, I am just a bit dissappointed in what CCP created with PI. None of the features promised during the fanfests a few month before were integrated. I have a few colonies in a lowsec system that I have not even visited in month, because the profit to time invested ratio is too low.
So what will happen with PI when players have to invest massive amounts of ISK to fit the Dust mercs? The profit is already low, the colony management non existing. There are also so many planets, that it would be easier and more profitable to set up a new production chain somewhere else.

Well Im just saying actual content verses expansion features, there are things they had developed in the past and had not put in yet probably for hte sake of using it for an expansion basis. Dust 514 would not suprise me on this matter they may have already built alot of vehicles and weapons and are holding thier content back until needed, similar to eves massive collection of spare ships on the wall they pick out to develop into ships inside eve when needed. It just that the Shang Hai developers managed to get the code for networking between dust and eve hammered out very well. In terms of combat interaction, may not be available at launch.
