the prize can't go to someone who guessed the correct outcome of a fixed fight.
CCP, this is a RL item of cash value, not some free eve asset, you can't let eve rules outweigh the real rules of life.
and for the record I voted hydra, but fair is fair and ethical is ethical.
and evga may not like being drawn into issues over ethics. think about this next time

+1
And yes I also voted Hydra. Will be hard to change this now, can't really revoke a winner of his/her price can you now... But considering the real money value this is way wrong..

How does this change the outcome of the winner drawing? Everyone had a 50% chance of guessing right. I haven't read through the 95 pages of winner guesses, but I'll make an educated guess that 50% of the votes were for 0B and 50% for Hydra. Or somesuch.
So, unless someone had some real intel about which is going to let which lose, the guess was 50/50 really.
Well, that makes the lottery just as fair as drawing only from the Hydra voters.
For the record I too voted for Hydra, for their performance, but the call wasn't an easy one.
I guess when 0B will rejoin Hydra we'll all be happy that Hydra won in the end, amirite?

Who actually won the prize? It doesn't appear to have been announced? Unless I too have been licking toads.

Can you prove that ? , perhaps they told there friends, that told some friends and so on. You get the picture I hope.
Either way I would guess EVGA isn't to happy about giving free stuffs away to a fixed outcome, not good to have your company name be associated with a raffle that was fixed in a way, leaving people ****ed about it afterwards.

its not even a matter of who won, if the outcome was pre-determined then everyone in the thread should have been eligible no matter who they picked.
thats all I'm saying. hell, I don't even mind that the fight was fixed, in fact I think its pretty funny.
but when you run a contest giving away a real item ($500.00 worth) the rules of eve (oh well you got scammed) can't supersede the rules of the real world.
I guess I'm thinking the fine line got really blurred here and CCP should treat this as a lesson learned
