To those that are crying about the outcome of the tournament.
First, none of you paid a cent to watch the tournament.
Second, this is EVE. In EVE anything can and will happen, never expect things to happen as you assume they should happen. EVE is not about being fair or about playing all nicey - nicey.
Third, the tournament isn't about you the viewer, it is about teams that put up billions in ISK to participate. This is their tournament - not yours. They put up billions in ISK to participate in the tournament. The 120 billion plus a few fancy ships is hardly going to cover the cost in the amount these teams spent to get to where they did.
Fourth, you don't like how the tournament played out, put your money where your mouth is and get your own team into the tournament. Seriously...put together your own team. Get in the tournament and do something about it instead of whining. Surely you have the skills, ISK and talent to do this - right?
It was a great tournament and the teams that made it to the end worked their mouses off to get there. They still had to get through some very tough opponents to even get to the end. So congrats should be in order because these two teams managed to pull off an amazing ending to this tournament. I just hope next years tournament is as good as this one was.

1. Yes none paid, but alot of ppl won't watch next tourney 2. Sport =/= War 3. Wrong, the tournament is about both the teams and viewers hence it's streamed by EVE TV 4. No comment - troll

First, Did I pay for it? No, not directly at least; unless my subscriptions help to pay for such a tournament (not that I'm saying they do). Of course, if they do, then I would hope the next tournament would be better. Otherwise, CCP please spend that money on game development.
Second, this is a rule-based competition (I guess you could almost call it a sport?).
Third, if it's not about the viewer, then don't broadcast it at all.
Fourth, I don't want to play, I want to watch and be entertained.
Regardless of your holier than thou attitude, it was a boring tournament.
Edit: I wasn't home to view the last match, so I will wait for the youtube upload. I'm speaking about the entire tournament in general here: it was boring.

I don't care how the last match went as long as I enjoyed watching ships explode and had a good laugh at the fun stuff they threw in throughout both weekends, I did enjoy it, I did laugh a lot, so it was a successfull tourny in my eyes \o/

1) Says you. 2) See it as you wish, you are entitled to your opinion.
3) No it's not about us, it's about them. Until you, or I, or anyone else, puts in the effort and the ISK to participate - it is their tournament...not ours. We're merely spectators. Nothing more.

You know, I'm usually a person to jump in support of CCP too, but the tournament was just awful this year. If you can't see why, then you should watch it from the beginning and see all the meta-gaming that took place to ensure this outcome.
I know, this is eve blah blah. I don't care, normally I'd say this is true as eve is a cold universe. But allowing an alliance to fix a tournament and walk away 2.2 trillion isk richer is just dumb.
I saw this coming last week and before the tournament started. I mean, come on. A corporation(outbreak) separate from Hydra and make an alliance 2 month before the tournament to claim both prizes. What I wanted to see probably took place in the qualifying rounds, wish they had broadcast those and I'd probably be less annoyed at seeing a lot of conga lines, thrown matches, bribes and all that stuff in the final rounds.

If the tournament was boring - don't watch. I for one like the tournament, meta-gaming and all. It is what makes the tournament what it is and it is unique to this game. It is what makes EVE what it is and thank the Gods of gaming for the that.

No, but even if you did, it wouldn't be as epic as spaceship conga lines.

I'm all for the metagaming the bul****ing and scams but when it comes to a tourney all that **** should be left behind. they should have just had it out in the end like it should have been but no they wanted to hold hands. I get they where friends bla bla and thats cool but a shame they can't dook it out.
Also the real cash items up for wins that drawed me and a lot of others in to participate. Even though I never win **** who knows I could have won that last one.

They did duke it out, Outbreak won, but let Hydra take the match, because they were being nice to their friends.

great commentators ???
half of all the **** they spoke of was fake. it's no big deal in a tournament with enough "friends" to cover the win of the tournament.
"Outbreak is a new team but they did well till now ... blah blah blah ..." comments to make the public just laugh off.
tournament is a waste of rescources for the community.

2. Eve is a sandbox, sure, and rules are made by us. But at least the AT must be a part of Eve where we must have rules to find out who is the best Alliance... not in spying, not in betraying... it should show us who is best in flying, commanding and using our lovely toys.
3. When this is a result of a long way to the finals i guess next year CCP will stream the matches only for the members of the participating alliances. And then you are right... then it will be their tourney and no viewer except the own allymembers will take care of this bull****.
4. It was a great tournament as long as there was no bought match and teams where realy doing well to get into finals and to become the champion without showing how wealthy they are. If this is what CCP wants, only find out who can pay most isk to become the champion, go on.... the tournament and CCP will lose reputation for sure.

People still won their prizes(talking viewers here) nobody "did not get" what they won.
2. Eve is a sandbox, sure, and rules are made by us. But at least the AT must be a part of Eve where we must have rules to find out who is the best Alliance... not in spying, not in betraying... it should show us who is best in flying, commanding and using our lovely toys.
Go back and look at the matches these two teams participated in during the tournament. Are you saying that they did not have to "win" any match? They beat Darkside, they beat PL, two if the toughest in the tourney - do you think PL or Darkside pliots think Hydra or Ourbreak are not good pilots? Hydra Reloaded and Outbreak both have great pilots and the proved it in every match they won.
3. When this is a result of a long way to the finals i guess next year CCP will stream the matches only for the members of the participating alliances. And then you are right... then it will be their tourney and no viewer except the own allymembers will take care of this bull****.
So tell me, how many billions of ISK do you put up for this fight? How many hours did you spend training? How much time did you spend studying your opponents? Tell you what. When you have done what they did to get as far as they did in the tourney, and take the "win", then you'll have room to talk. Until then, this is still their tournament. We are merely viewers.

Oh wait...what? This happens and has happened every year of the tourney. We've seen whole teams self destruct. This is nothing new. So don't play that card - won't work. The Tourney is what it is.

Protip: I doesnĘt take a freighter to transport some BPC¦s.
Meta gaming and back ally deals have always and will always be part of AT. Hydra and outbreak just put a lot of work into it this year to make it work.
DonĘt forget they also had some tough fight along the way to make it all happen. Fights they couldnĘt buy and had to win with skill.
I donĘt care they took first and second place, I donĘt care the final fight was staged, I donĘt care I lost ISK betting on the final match.
Hydra and Outbreak earned this they played the meta game better than anybody ever did and they trained a lot for the fights.
All I can say is welcome to EVE

I personally have nothing against spying, sharing info and metagaming like that. It's kinda cool.. What aggravates me most are fixed fights. Such matches are boring as hell, not to mention, that they are extremely unfair to viewers (who bet) and other teams which get knocked out because of that and not because of their skill.
Other than that, It was a great AT.. Good job CCP.
Fixing matches is illegal in pretty much every tournament there is. I don't know why it is not in AT. Not that it would not happen, but at least it would be more interesting to watch.

Nope, I am not with any group. I am just a fan of the tournament. I like the meta-gaming aspect of it. I like all that it entails. I think Hydra Reloaded and Outbreak should be commended for giving us all a tournament we can remember.
1) We got a new winner. PL has won the last 3 years in a row, it was time for a change.
2) We saw the emergence of a new awesome team "Darkside".
3) We saw some awesome matches that clearly were some of the best we've seen in years. That Amarr rush team put together by Darkside was great.
4) We saw a team named Bacon Fortress Gaming Syndicate born. <<< What can you not like about a team named like this. LOL!
5) We saw just how important a well piloted frigate can make or break it for a team in numerous matches.
6) We saw some really great pilots, from many teams, fly their arses off to try and win. Almost saw a "hero" Tengu take a match. Just awesome!
7) The people doing the commentary of this years tourney were better than we've ever seen in previous ones.
8) CCP did a great job with their live feed. Better than ever.
Only thing that was missing was the ad from last year promoting Iceland...I think CCP should have aired it a couple of times when they had breaks between matches.
No I am not with any alliance, nor any team, and I am just a player of EVE. I run a dinky mining outfit. I liked this years tournament...if that makes be a bad person, so be it.
