My corporation does not have sovereignty over a space in nulsec. Can I still harvest from planets? I assume so, since you can't have sovereignty in high sec, but I just want to make sure.
Secondly, can my operations on planets be contested in any way yet? Are they safe from being tampered with in nulsec? Once DUST is released, they will be disruptable, but for now, I'm safe to start my operations? The only thing I should have to worry about is transporting the goods from the planet to market?

Edited by: Louis deGuerre on 20/06/2011 19:21:19 Yes, you can do PI on almost all planets (few exceptions like Jita) No, the only thing they can possibly do is kill you haulers (if at war or out of highsec) or intentionally all set up PI on 'your' planet to 'overmine' it (which no one can possibly be bothered to do). In nullsec you can only do PI on planets where either you have sov, or no one has sov. Once you are settled on planet, you cannot be removed even if someone else gets sov. You are only vulnerable during transport. You are aware that planet extraction rates are 0.0/w-space >> lowsec >> highsec ----- Malevolence. is recruiting. Dive into the world of 0.0 !

I may of missed something mainly cause i don't worry about PI at all anymore but I used to have my PI in systems owned by another alliance no issues with the sov not allowing me to place them there. I am just curious when and if this is a rule?

As far as I know this has always been the case. Your colonies will keep working if you lose sov or someone else gets sov in the system, you just can't start any new colonies if the system is owned by another alliance. ----- Malevolence. is recruiting. Dive into the world of 0.0 !

PI is independent from the sov mechanics you may put you colonies on any planet you desire; only difference is the amount of reds in local.

As far as I know, this has never be the case. --- I don't know! I don't know why I did it, I don't know why I enjoyed it, and I don't know why I'll do it again! Bart Simpson. |
