I am looking forward to this, I think it will be great.
Despite losing a day of Eve to downtime (and wondering what real life really means) I think the new content will make up for it.
Btw does anyone know what the daily downtime is actually for? I can't see anywhere what it is actually used to do...

I'll take your word for it as I don't know what those things actually are. I just wondered - half an hour every day - it must be for some purpose :P

I don't mind the probes; I'm wondering what additional implant requirements will be introduced. I'm halfway through training cybernetics 5 and don't want to find out tomorrow I'll have to do even more training to use those +5s...

Tranquility is now up, and internal testing is underway.

I got up and Eve was offline, nearly bedtime now and still offline ;) Going to watch one more DVD I think - any suggestions for good sci-fi movies I might have missed? I'm guessing some of you might know the names of a few?

Yep, looks like Eve Online will only be open to Americans today :)

Edited by: Demonfuge Malevolent on 21/06/2011 21:13:24 Hmm I've sat through the other patches and delays without complaint but I do understand some people getting agitated today because there is no service today at all.
In general I applaud the new content and I'm sure CCP are working their hardest to get the server back up and running.
That said, someone earlier made a good point that if your pizza delivery is 30 minutes late you get a free pizza. If trains are 2 hours late you get a refund. If I have no internet all day, my internet service provider refunds at least 1 day of charges.
There has been no Eve Online all day and while that's simply unfortunate and CCP are probably as disappointed as we are, there's still been no service today and if we're paying for that service there should be some form of compensation or refund.
That said I do appreciate the hard work the guys at CCP are clearly putting in and their dedication to the gaming community. In particular it's nice that they keep us reasonably regularly update.
