... you'll leave and many will be happy to take your hangar
not only i will leave. many good players i knew gave up on this soft/service a long time ago (around 2007-2008). good pilots with experience, brains and ideas. nowadays server is full of noobs/ret.4rds.
basicly since 2008 it's down hill all the time.

Yes, because imaginary s--t in a video game counts as "stuff." Haven't you left yet?
..so why bother to ask for it, like a 5 year old?

Why say something silly like "I feel pity" and refering to me as being a "kiddo"
It says something about your maturity. It also conflicts with what you said earlier about players with "Experience, Brains, and Ideas"... a maturity of which you do not seem to represent through your phraseology.
your logic is valid. i am an old fool. those who left had far more brains than i have and predicted what direction was eve going.
and that direction will be... growing income. it's about money and nothing else. since avg. IQ of players is dropping sharply nowadays, cccp is trying to adapt itself and not go out of business. hence the idea of changing eve into wow. making this game easier and simpler with every patch. eye-candy effects over content and quality.
till this very day i had to CLICK to do what i wanted... now i will have to WALK to be able to CLICK to DO what i want... if that's evolution in terms of GUI...

Keep the good things coming CCP. You might get alot of hate for this update, but there are still people out there who think you are doing GREAT things. Keep it up :)
ever wonder why ppl are complaining about it? or you are simply one of those ppl who are hypnotised by shinny, bright objects?

Simplistic and inaccurate explanation aside, it's unfortunate that you can't understand why they can't just leave the game the way it was, or continue to do more of the same things. In this industry, if you stay the same, you lose business.
A great example is the call of duty series. After 3 or 4 WWII reiterations, reviews simply started to state "how many more WWII games are we going to get? Seriously, it's been played to death". The same would happen with Eve, people would get sick of the same old content.
chess, poker, Go, etc. beside, things arent ment to last forever. everything has the beginning, the golden age and the end. cccp and eve included, mate. you cant win with nature and time. you can only struggle...

in your opinion
Evolution > Stagnation, learn to adapt or die off, the only games you'll ever truly master are the simplest ones and EVE is not getting simpler, far from it.
"EVE is not getting simpler, far from it." haha... did you start playing this game like 2010, mate? your statement is so invalid that i wont even bother to continue my post. seriously.
think before you post.

I suggest you delete your post, no arguments posted, only a smug attitude, shall I guess you moaned when sanctums got the nerf?
not realy. last time i was moaning was around 2008 (?) when GM NeverPlayedThisGameBeforeWhatIsIt decided to nerf the sh1.t out of carriers/motherships but a few more ppl joined me on forum and he changed his mind.
"The new player experience has gotten somewhat easier" - dude, when i started to play this stupid game many new players sometimes had troubles to even understand what killed them. - CEOs while deploying POS (pieces-of-sh1.t, what we were calling them at the time) where cursing heavens life was hursh, hard and exciting. do you expect me to be impresed with walking? if i want to pay/play game where i can walk i would just log into quake, for free mate.

Graphical improvements are important for competing in the industry, though I place a higher importance on functionality, features, and immersion. What people are forgetting is that this is a stepping stone, and not a shiny new graphics offering.
- list of bugs is endless. actualy i had to drop eve for a year or two when i realised that it's not the enemy that is killing me, but GUI/bugs/issues. (no one killed me, it wasnt a rage quit... just couldnt fight GUI no more :] )
I have not come across any factual information or qualitative studies conducted in order to judge the avg. IQ of players in EVE. If you have factual information to back up your comment, I would be very interested in seeing this! It would be of great help to me in what I am doing outside of EVE.
- got a few insured gank-BSs with ins. running out. undocked, wasted them on some poor noobs with literaly no imagination. gain 2b+ins. log off. no experience, no imagination, no future. todays playerbase. wow generation.
I have not come across changes in EVE that make the game simpler to play. There are improvements in user interface and interaction, but complex features have not been dumbed down through automation imo. Can you give an example other than evolutions of interfaces such as scanning.
- so you have come across such changes :] (scanning. remember days when scanning someone down was an art only known to a few) anyway. player creation. all stats the same, only different faces (wow). before that you had to plan very carefuly your chars/attributes
EVE has evolved and become better since 2003, there are still improvements to be made, but a lot of players are viewing the walking in stations as a gimick and I do not believe this is what it will be in the future.
- just another shinny object, mate to please your eye. and there is literaly tons and tons of bugs/issues to solve in this game... ..but who cares? cccp definitely doesnt.
I am not a fanboy of EVE at any strech of the word. I play EVE over other mmo offerings because of the better player driven interaction and communities, etc. The EVE game is being broadened, but I couldn't compare it to becoming WOW'ish at all.
- when did you start to play this game?

Older EVE players, who once touted the complexity of EVE and propogated an elitist attitude within the community when comparing them and EVE with other MMO's, and who are now becoming generally tired of a game and are on the verge of leaving, are now self-validating thier past elitist ego through complaining that EVE is becoming more simple and that the avg. player inteligence is lower.

Edit: in "'s
4 years maybe more? I'm just postulating "regarding themes" mind you. Your reply and wording indicates a theme of player's "EVE playing" age in relation to how valid their opinions are.
your statement is valid, again. that's why children dont vote, cause no one cares what they think. lack of experience.
4yrs you are saying? then i guess you have missed the best times of eve, unfortunately. around 2005 i believe we had the most fun in this game. down hill since... (unless you love black screens, lag-fests, blobs and such. i dont)

Got you beat though -- July, 2004 for me. And I know there are still people in the game who started in beta.
So, we've all got stories to tell, some good, some not so good.
Running a dual Nvidia GTX 460 SLI rig here, and no problems. Push Physx to the second card. Saw an advertisement for a 460 card for $99 US yesterday. Too bad for me, I paid twice that a year ago for each of mine.
Wish I had some of the net speeds people are posting.

Exactly. What if your car broke down and the mechanic showed up with Flasy Pinstriping, Shiny new wheel covers, and Plush seat covers and Fuzzy dice to hang from your rearview mirror, put all that on and drove away without fixing the reason why your car wouldn't run right. Would you be happy?
I will give you CCP's perspective:
The players in this game that have been playing for years and love their 0.0 warfare have invested years of their time, and tons of their money. They are sitting in supercaps in space and are the directors and CEO's of corporations and alliances. If they leave the game, it's an unfortunate side effect of the current state of the game. However, kids with ADHD can only pay attention to things that look cool and have nice graphics and such. If CCP makes it like an awesome alternate reality for the kids to escape to, CCP wins. Most people who hate it, but have invested crazy amounts of time and effort, will likely stick around just to try to get something out of it. Even those who don't necessarily play....still pay.
haha, liked that ADHD part. love
true, true..
