EVE Online: Incarna 1.0 is currently being deployed. The database updates are taking longer than expected, and therefore the downtime has been extended. We expect to open Tranquility to the players at 21:30 UTC. Thank you for your understanding.

Big thanks to the Patch linky posters... Its nice being able to download da patch at work in about 10 minutes as opposed to 2 hours at home... Also I would add that, being in a semi technical field and dealing with Applications all the time, no upgrade, never ever ever ever goes exactly according to plan... This is why the Space shuttle still uses 486 Processors and software written 30 years ago for its nav computers... Man is fallible, so as a result are the works of man.
Life is good, we're still breathing right?

There's a good chance you'll be fine with the currently available patch BUT you don't get to nerdrage if it doesn't work after all because (like me) you were impatient and wanted to see the shiny new Maller do its thing on the login screen. ;¼)

I have been testing on ALL settings... I have a core 2 duo intel processor and Giggabyte GTX 460.... and on everything low or off I still overheat my GPU with my CPU running at 80~90% on both cores, just to stand still. my ave FPS goes from 20 to 30 by changing the settings but overheating happens either way.
now if I went into CQ when I wanted to and didn't need my in space UI, then it might be ok... but as it happens every time we dock, and there is no content, and the new UI is fail... I am just not going to load it.
CCP should provide separate settings for in space, and in Incarna... and they should find out what is nukeing my CPU/GPU... and they should put the damn hanger back... Till then I wont be using CQ on TQ. I will never be using the 'Noble (read money-grabbing) store' so, that is a total waste of time... And sad cos the 'free' outfits are pretty bad...
I don't honestly know what's wrong with your system but I'm running a core2duo 3ghz and a gtx285 and I get 60 fps in CQ and my gpu runs at normal running temperature. Which drivers are you running? What brand of card? Have you messed with any fan control settings? It doesn't make sense for your card, which should be more powerfull than mine to give lower performance.
Could be the system chassis thats causing the issues, i am running a 8800GTX OC'd card, in my old case with very bad cooling my GPU Was idling at around 80c, i rehoused my system into a Coolermaster HAF922 case and now my GPU under the load of 6 eve clients and various other bits is around 56c also my frame rate is about 20FPS higher now cause my card aint to concerned about its welfare :P with those specs the heat is gonna be the issue as the 460 kicks out much more heat than the 8800, also might want to try a custom cooling solution on the card itself, that could help if a chassis change is not an option, however if it is i would strongly recommend any Coolermaster HAF case.

I think what's more important for players is the fact that they pay to play and yet have to suffer multiple outages and seemingly never-ending extended downtime (yes, I know, a watched kettle never boils). Just once though I'd like to see a patch deployed within the allotted time. I mean come on, surely CCP are doing dry runs on SIT/UAT servers before going live, they surely have an actual clue as to how long it takes? Seems to me we get less actual game time per month whilst paying the same amount. |

I Wish, with all these Downtime for patching, I wish they could have a clock in the forums displaying the time, how would i know what/when 21:30 UTC?
I want to know what time it is in EVE!!! I wan to know when the server is LIVE so I can match it with my time!

So until I can have the old hanger back, CQ will stay disabled... If the option to disable it disappears... then leaving the game entirely becomes highly likely.
Which would be sad...
BTW my bring back the hanger petition just hit page 7...
I agree, I think Incarna is cool and all, but my computer just can't handle it, which is sad. I also can't afford a new computer, just to ward off any flamers that want to put scathing replies about me "whining". New maller hull looks cool though, can't wait for the turret effects too.
so you can turn off the CQ and turrets then? does that mean i'll be able to run eve a little longer while i shop for a new laptop?
that'd be cool

They could just overestimate how long it'll take them to deploy instead of underestimating and then extending multiple times.
Would make them look a bit less incompetent and calm some of the super impatient kiddies down too.

evemon. bottom left corner of it's window shows current EVE time. else, there are a dozen widget clocks on the market (incl freeware ones) that will show you 2 clocks, one with local time and one with EVE time ( or any other 2 time zones you want). try cnet.com, never had any trouble there.

Eh, stop complaining. there are technical thigns at play that go wrong, the bigger the patch, the more likely its DT will be trippled. Besides, everyone knows its not patch release, its patch week.
you don't lose that much time playing eve, look at the PSN, and imagine how WoW players feel when they lost their game for a whole week, child rage. lol.
anyway, stop your pointless whining, in the last 2 months the only real DT I've suffered is incarna and I planned that it would take at least 2 days to get working.
