Ok so you have to move your avatar around a station to actually open your ship bay right?
What does this mean for all those mining macros? if CCP doesnt have shortcut keys to open stuff they may have actually found a way to stop most of the mining macros unless they use a pos... which means they need to be in a corp, which means war decks!
So with this set to happen expect mining to be profitable once again you carebears!!

That and isn't there actually a hotkey you can set specifically for "undock"?

Your also forgetting the usage of macros that move the mouse pointer around, so in reality, they haven't done anything.

Nope, you don't have to.
The Neocom and all the previously available windows are still there. Only the "background" changes. From ship hangar to CQ.
Also, you can disable loading the CQ altogether. The "LOADING..." screen will never vanish if you choose that option. _

Yeah only way they'd get rid of that ability is to force no-neocom, force walking in stations and remove the ability to have shortcuts.... we're half way there anyway (already being forced to walk in stations)...

Some people wont like this but there is an opportunity here for CCP to get rid of this macro problem. Remove all short cut keys and make it a must to move around the station to open cargo etc...
It wont get rid of all macro but will get rid of some.

Or have a Captcha popup for all inventory transfers. Perfect!
Or remove the undock hotkey and put the undock button in a random corner of the screen each time and put confirmation-less "quit game" buttons in the other three. Awesome!
Or dump the neocom and randomize the location of everything in the CQ so only a human could find anything there. "Market window was under the couch pillows the whole time!" Solved!
Or a "notice and takedown" approach to all accounts. Claim someone's a bot and they can't play again until they prove they're not. Pwnt!
---
If you can't make EVE macro proof and usable, make it usable. And the bots own the middle ground on that.

What the hell is the point of being an immortal, a near god, whose wealth in pocket change far exceeds that of a station hugger's life-time salary if I have to get out of my ship and actually walk around.
That is what mortals are for.
If we need to walk about to unload cargo then can someone sell me a bot to do just this?

In case you didn't yet know, you're a moron. This might get rid of SOME of the bots permanently and most of the bots initially, whatever a human might be able to do on a regular basis with little effort as far as the EVE interface is concerned, a bot CAN also do, unless you randomize the results of your actions so that the bot CAN'T just follow a trivially easy to setup sequence of mouse movements and clicks or keypresses, in which case, it gets far more annoying for real people too. In the long run, this will alienate more actual players than it will remove bots, and the end result would be a much worse situation overall. _

Your character can still do almost everything it does now (better said, everything, but some "shortcut" actions are a bit longer) without even loading the CQ environment (and just looking at a "Loading" screen that never goes away). _

Mineral prices are not going to drop because of macro miners dissapearing.
The only thing thats really determing prices of minerals is the demand, not the supply the last massive ban of macro bots proved this is the case and that nerfs to certain refinables have alawys seemed to askew with the prices more than the mining changes.
Then agin this is something better off arguing with the doctor hell be able to tell you how much minerals actually come from refining verses mining. Pre-order your Sisters of ≡v≡ Exploration ship today, Updated 3APR11

Do nothing, but accept the macro players money until the amount of players quitting > the amount of money coming in from macroers.
This playerbase is unique, in that, the vast majority of players put up with EVERYTHIGN ANYTHING.
The devs have fostered this "attack all non-conformists" atmosphere on the forums. Anyone, deviating from conformity, in any way, is bombarded by tool propoganda. Ad its worked on this playerbase. Its scared away the "big" potential playerbase, but its secured the one they have.
Until people actualy quit because of macroing/cheating, those people will not only be welcomed, but also catered too, just as much as the legitamate players.
Serious, if you could welcome/cater to the macro/cheat crowd, and then post on a forum "Macroers are bad, etc etc"... while still taking in all those subs, what wuold you do?
Turn away all that income to be "righteous"?
DOes this atmosphere have any sort of "righteousness"?
