Looks like this time you really did it .
What a perfect expansion.
We have seen so many bugs since its release that i have to salute the ones relaying all the information back to base.
Maybe needs to roll back no ?

so far so good, except I can't type in the corp chat window. I click on it and there's no cursor, I type and nothing happens. If I switch to local, I can type without problems. The windows are stacked, I think I read somewhere in this giant thread that if the windows aren't stacked they might work, I haven't tried that yet, just thought I'd report it.
also it seems that I can't sit on the couch until I'm standing right in front of it, then the option appears. Is that a bug or a feature? :)
also I can't leave my room, the station is being decontaminated...
The couch thing is a feature. Also you can sit in it when standing directly BEHIND it (oops).
Eventually we will get through that door. First we got to wait for CCP to kill some of the bugs.

I have stripped all the fittings (except rigs of course) off my drake. Repacked them, then refitted them. This obviously includes reloading my Missile Ammo. There however was still no change at all to Missile Damage. The actual damage my Missiles Deal is noticeably lower so this is not just a display error.
Same, please, in God`s name FIX THIS, I was scared as sh*t when I saw I wasn`t doing any damage to rats, I tought CCP had nerfed missiles or ultra-boosted rats, but after spinning in the quarters for a while, I found out that its just that BCS`s dont work anymore, beside the RoF bonus. FIX THIS please!
Confirmed. Now that explains how suddenly the mission I am doing and did in the past turned imposible to acomplish. Please stop working in new little skirt colours and fix the damn game NOW!
There is a known error with the Show Info screen for missile ammunition not reflecting the boost from BCUs. It actually pre-dates this patch, I'm a bit embarrassed to say.
If you believe your are still not getting proper missile damage, please post your fitting and the damage amount you are seeing versus a known, stationary target and we'll take it from there.

I have to complain about the icons used for the turrets now. The 3D turrets statically rendered as 2D bitmaps look really awful. It reminds me of the bad old days before live 3D was possible - like Donkey Kong Country on the SNES. It's OK to have the icons not look exactly like the in-game 3d object as long as the graphic clearly communicates what the thing is. A perfect example is the old tractor beam icon: looked like a magnet. GREAT! I know instantly what that does. Now, the icon looks like a yellow turd. How is that different from the brown turd also mounted on my ship? I don't really know. It's certainly not clear from the UI. (And I'm not even talking about the scaling bug with the icon applied to the target once the module is activated).
Bottom line is that the new turrets look amazing and you did a great job!!! Bad news you made the icons way worse.
This blog post (not by me) explains my feelings way better than I can express here:

I thought this picture perfectly sums up the problem with the new module icons:

References: Post 6 This leads backwards towards the beginning of my trek for a successful (FINALLY) installation.
Quick recap: Attempted auto-patcher 9 times Attempted manual patch 6 times Uninstalled working copy of EVE and attempted full Client install 4 times Attempted downloading the installer and separate packages/installing 2 times Attempted suggestion from Mr Pikey
Each and every attempt resulted in failure with exact same message from the repair tool (v3.24).
Traceback (most recent call last): File "repairTool\progressPanel.pyc", line 97, in _TaskRun File "repairTool\repairUI.pyc", line 77, in Start File "repairTool\repairLogic.pyc", line 147, in Repair File "repairTool\repairLogic.pyc", line 187, in Restore File "zsync\zsync.pyc", line 151, in RestoreFile ValueError: too many values to unpack Total Runtime: 0h00m23s
Thought about serv Puell's suggestion, and remembered that I still had a pre-carbon full copy of EVE installed.
Renamed folder to proper path, launched repair tool, noticed it was v3.23. When popup window asked me if I wanted to upgrade the repair tool, I clicked ****** NO ******. (VERY IMPORTANT!!!!!!!!!!!)
End result: Successful installation.
Bottom line from my experiences the past few days....the repair tool v3.24 is borked! Repair Tool v3.23 works!
CCP, if you want to do a small part in regaining your seriously damaged reputation, you will provide a link to the repair tool v.3.23 on the front page of this thread so other folks can have a chance at a successful installation.

If your hardware is overheating and finaly dying because of that fix your hardware and stop blaming software developers. If your gfx card runs beyond spec without proper cooling, get one which runs within spec or get one with proper cooling. Do the same for your CPUs.
Your hardware is supposed to handle high load. If it can't handle that (in terms of temperature or stability) select your hardware more carefully.
CCP alt detected. And no I'm not having hardware issues, but a lot of players are and the load from CQ seems too high for the limited gain you get from this eye candy. Maybe it is better for CCP to figure out what they did here and correct it.
Lisa is 100% right. It doesnt take CCP alt to tell you how hardware works. -CQ code is PATHETIC and runs slower than Crysis on HIGH details, but that doesnt mean it is somehow magically destroying your computer. -If it overheats and dies it was broken before starting the game.

2) When placing a Buy order on the market, if you want to set an alternative location for the buy order to be centered upon, the cursor no longer defaults to the text entry box. It requires a left-click to place the cursor so the alternative location can be entered.
3) In numerous situations (PI for example), when selecting a partial quantity of an item to be dragged-and-dropped from a list (using shift-leftmouse), it appears that on occasion some other item is (invisibly) selected and instead of dragging just the selected item, a range of items are selected and dragged.
4) On the UI the buttons have been recoloured so they fade almost to black at the bottom. This frequently makes them appear to blend into the background and is very disconcerting.
5) On the login screen the text entry boxes have had their shading altered so the text now appears to be off-centre. This looks unprofessional and just plain wrong.
6) The Capacitor is still too transparent. Can we please have it with an opaque background?
7) In the Science and Industry window, Jobs tab, the Range selection keeps resetting to the minimum possible (i.e. Current Solar System / Current Station). Can we please have it stay on the last setting we chose? S'nuff for now...
All of these.

I thought this picture perfectly sums up the problem with the new module icons:
Indeed, that all makes perfect sense and anyone who's every gotten into UI is... should be aware of this. Which makes it all the more distressing that CCP seem unable to spot the blazingly obvious flaws in Incarna. Tiny muddy realistic icons in Eve = bad. Duh. Inefficient and slow CQ or a dull metal wall = bad. Duh. Etc, etc.
None of this is rocket science, so it makes me wonder how it keeps happening in Eve. Do they simply employ no UI people? Do they ignore any negative feedback from singularity? Are they so caught up in their own creation, they're unable to step back and see what regular users see?
The later has been a common problem with computer UI design from the dawn of the PC age. Those who design computers and software are often unable to look at their designs from a regular user's perspective. It's one reason Xerox PARC back in the 70's used children to test UI - because kids have a fresh take on the world and they don't tolerate bad design easily. Little kids are the ultimate test of UI. Maybe CCP should hire some ;-)
But seriously, my point is that I think CCP needs to get some outside input on things like these awful turret icons even before they make it onto sisi. -- Frog blast the vent core! |

Aside from some minor bugs here and there (occasional crash, ship flying sideways when warping. these little things are to be expected with a new expansion to an MMO). My only major issue is that my computer is able to load the station environment for Captain's Quarters but unable to load my character. The same thing happens when I go in to try and re-customize my character, I am able to see all the menus for selecting new options (clothing, eyes, hair, tattoos, scars... but no character loads.
Just a small thing that I'm sure CCP will figure out within the next few days. I'm patient and honestly not surprised to find an issue like this. It's so rare for an MMO developer to launch an expansion without hitting any errors. -- Celesti Nightsong Patriot of the Caldari State |

CCP, Why do you have to require me to create an avatar just to play EVE?!???
Now I can't even log in to play!!!
The problem (starting before Incarna): The EVE client always restarts itself after I click on the "Next" button when I've finished customizing my avatar. It shows that the client is loading in a couple of seconds, then restarts itself.
I'm using a brand new HP Pavilion DV4-3023TX notebook with 8GB RAM, enough juice to play EVE. 40-60 FPS using high level setting with V-Sync on(but only 2x Anti Aliasing). PS: I tried to lower all the settings too, but the client still restarts.
To be honest, I just return to play EVE after 21 months off and now I have to waste 3 days of game time for such a ridiculous reason: Players are required to finish creating an avatar to play!!!!!
I've submitted a petition, so far only 1 response which doesn't solve the problem.
It seems like my decision not to activate all my accounts at once is correct after all.
I wish you can solve my problem.

Originally by: Aeveen My drake is still not receiving Missile Damage bonuses. This is especially noticeable with Ballistic Control Systems. I find this rather odd because the Ballistic Control System is effecting my launchers rate of fire correctly. It however has no effect on Missile Damage.
I have stripped all the fittings (except rigs of course) off my drake. Repacked them, then refitted them. This obviously includes reloading my Missile Ammo. There however was still no change at all to Missile Damage. The actual damage my Missiles Deal is noticeably lower so this is not just a display error.
Thank you for the reply. I will try and get you some numbers in a few hours. The first question though is; how did this happen now and not previously before the patch?
