I'd much rather just point the mouse where I want to look than have to drag. This would make me much more comfortable navigating around as I'm already comfortable with the standard "WASD movement, with mouse for camera pointing" controls.
-Add the ability to run, or at least speed walk. Going back to the FPS controls thing, it just feels uncomfortable to not be able to move as fast as I want to, and it's clear that my character isn't exactly straining himself with his current walking speed, so it's not like walking faster is unreasonable.
-Different CQs for each race, and have variations within each race. I understand how much of a chore this is, but it's just so corny to have identical station environments for both caldari and amarr stations, given how much their design philosophies differ. Even adding different coloring and lighting would be a good start. I picture a gallente station to be much more well-lit than a minmatar station, for example.
-Give the 200mm vulcan autocannon an animation. Vagabond pilots need love :(
-From an RP perspective, it doesn't make sense for my character to dock his pod, get out, dry off, put clothes on, then walk up the ladder, if he's just going to switch ships as soon as the session change is over and undock again. Fixing this may require a creative solution in how the system is handled. It may not be possible to fix this without a lot of other changes. I guess this is just one of the drawbacks to the docking/undocking system in eve: if the goal is immersion, then you can't really have the ability to instantly move around, dried and clothed, after you've undocked, and instantly undock and be in space in 30 seconds even though you're currently sitting on your couch. Not that I want to get rid of those necessarily, it's just important to point out that immersion is mutually exclusive with instant docking and instant undocking.
-Along the same lines of immersion, when it comes to jump clones, it doesn't make sense to tell a pilot to leave their ship before they jump clones when they're very clearly not in a ship at the moment.
-Seriously, when you dock in a gallente station you can see the old station environment off in the distance. It's not like it's been changed or deleted, it's right there. I can see it. Why don't people who opt to turn off CQ see that instead?
-More radio chatter in stations. I like the ambient sounds but I'd like to hear more announcements being made, etc.
-Spinning ships. You just can't kill off such a deep tradition of laziness.
-people have been saying this for months, but MOVE THE SHIPS CLOSER TO THE VIEWING AREA. We want to stand in awe at how large our ships are. What looks cooler, a megathron way off in the distance, far enough away that you can't tell if it's a frigate or a battleship? Or a megathron right next to the viewing area, where it takes so much of the view that you can't see either end of the ship unless you walk to the other side of the viewing area?
-don't show my AUR balance when i mouse over the wallet button please, or allow me to personally disable it with a wallet option.
all of these things would completely turn around my views on captain's quarters and incarna. I'm very disappointed in the current implementation of CQ, but it's obvious that it would be much better with just a few changes, even if the bigger, RP-related issues are ignored.
