So I saw this thread as I was warping into combat...
Against Serpentis, though. But so far my drones (in a Dominix) are ripping into them as normal, as far as I can tell.
Drones were already assembled and loaded in drone bay, but I wasn't in the ship when I logged in. Maybe just boarding the containing ship sets things up properly.

Its not like turning Drone Damage on costs alot of Aurum. Trade in yer plex,buy some Aurum and turn yer drone damage on, quit being so cheap....

I experienced the problem while flying a Rattlesnake. However, I was not in the ship when logged in, either, so that is not the fix. At least not for me.

Curious.
My drones are shredding things. T1 Caldari drones - are other people using T2? Maybe T2 drones are broken.

T2 drones indeed. Was using T2 sentries, have not attempted to use any other drones. But when I'm expecting my Garde II's to two-volley a cruiser and they are 100% missing... there's a problem.

Why has CCP not hit this thread yet?? I'm not seeing any more blue bars on any of the topics on the first two pages in General Discussion.
At least some assurance of investigation? This is a major problem being experienced by everyone!

CCP I have a honest question that demands a honest answer.
Do you hate Gallente pilots? Can you just drop the act already. Not only you can't manage to fix our guns and ships after all these years but you manage to break Gallente further?

I've got a repro. The modifiers aren't correctly applied if you board a ship from ship maintenance array (or a super cap). There is a workaround you just need to refit your drones. I assume logging off and back in in the ship (after you were removed from space) would solve this as well.

I was having the problem just coming from an NPC station in high sec to a mission. Drones were doing zip for damage and cruise missiles were doing I would guess maybe a quarter of damage they ought to be doing.
I have repackaged and refit the ship except for rigs and I have not tested again but I worry about unsuspecting folks walking into this when they are warp scrammed.
Also can you say if this is related to the issue of reported reduced scan strength?

That patch note says nothing about lowering effective scanning strength, which is what seems to be the actual effect of the change.
Either that, or something is making a whole pile of astrometrics modifiers fall away.

Thanks for the update, least it explains why when I jumped in a ship in station the drones worked, but when i jumped into one from an orca.. they where doing next to nothing, glad it's being fixed too :) - Juil Phoenix Industries

Try completely emptying your launchers of all ammo then reloading. Should reset things.

Incarna isnt multiplayer and lacks any features really so its basically a prison ... - i disabled it for now, oh well...
BUT
How the heck do so many working features get broken like implants not applying bonuses, my drones being completely useless since incarna, i mean seriously i undocked from a station with my armageddon and maelstrom, went to pew a haven and got insanely annoyed as a battlecruiser with 10 drones it just sat there laughing at there dps something that honestly has never happened before

I don't think it's limited to SMA's, I just got linked this after telling a corpmate i was unable to apply any damage to a raptor with my ishtar bonused warrior II's. I've been pvp'ing for 4 years now, with a lot of time in both inties and drone boats and am confident i have a good grasp of the damage an inty should take in this situation. not even a crazy tank, the pilot confirmed mwd/point/MSE for his mids. (didn't get raptor below 75% shields in about 4 minutes)
a question to other players... am i way off base of does it seem abnormal?

They changed the backend stuff for how item modifiers etc work, or something like that. (Read the patch notes, it's in there.)
In theory this wasn't supposed to affect gameplay, but apparently in testing they worked off ships undocking from stations, rather than from SMAs or other ships.
Since that's fixing everything fine for *most* people, the remaining problems appear to be based in some odd corner cases of some kind.
Welcome to programming, really. Bugs *always* crop up.
I'm honestly surprised by how little appears to have broken. I know it's annoying to deal with and it doesn't look that great, but it's just not possible to test for everything, or pick up all the ways things will behave oddly. For example, without knowing the code itself, I can't imagine why things would work differently depending on where you boarded the ships from.
