Hey folks. I decidet to do the epic arc lvl1 but im not sure wich ship i should fly. I can fly Amarr and thats it, no crosstraining yet. I can fly frigs, ceptors, destroyers, cruisers, bc and bs, all T2 guns and fittings. If u tell me it would be that much more fun in a t2 cruiser i w8 two weeks and then use one, though i tend to use a frig/destroyer class ship. The cruiser i thought about was an arbitrator cuz its looking good and the drones melt frigs nicely, also i could do some salvage while missioning and still beeing reasonable fast. Am i right or should i take the coercer cuz destroyer is the anti frig ship, or, will a t2 frig do the job even better?

well a frig T1 frig can do lv1's so it pretty much comes down to ship restrictions (some dont let cruisers in) destroyers will do it easily as will cruisers - Nulla Curas |

With noobs skills you can't, for over 80% I'm pretty sure.
Since you fly amarr, maybe you have already some drones skills and can fly cruisers?
Drones will help you a lot even with low skills.
Also, for the most hard missions if you can't really do dmg or take those ships down ask someone's help in local chat. Usually people flying around are willing to help newbies with that mission. They have nothing to win but they already know how hard it can be.
2nd advice: pay attention to all those scum can flippers out the station, don't play their game of loot the yellow cans. Do what you have to do and leave them to their silliness.

Valid points but he isnt a noob... he can fly T2 fit BS's,BC's,Cruisers n stuff he wants the 'best' (nasty word) ship for the job... - Nulla Curas |

Iv got some drone skills, about 750k Sp (gallente medium drones, nothing great but interfacing IV and drone spec IV is alright i suppose) thats why im counting the arbitrator in, hobgoblins vs frigs could be nice. If there are restrictions in some missions, id rather not take a cruiser cuz i dont want to swich the ship often.

The SoE L1 Epic Arc has no restrictions (I believe), unlike some L1 normal missions. Certainly, I've done all the missions in a cruiser and again in a battlecruiser.

TBH where did I had my brains at that moment?
Pick a T2 frig and go forward, ass kick every thing in your path and that's all!!

Arbi if you want to play it safe. Slicer if you want to have a little fun with it. Given the choice I'd take the Slicer any day.

With the skills you should have a t1 frigate can do the epic arc
To be honest I found it fun in a rifter and there were a few challenging missions. Overshiping seems to be a bit pointless.

I did the whole thing in a Punisher, except for Dagan (you can't break his tank in a Punisher...). I had very low skills when I did it, around 3 million SP. The last "boss" before Dagan was really tough, I had to experiment with fittings to get him. Granted, I had experience playing Eve before, but you can do it in a Punisher.
I couldn't even break Dagan's tank in a cruiser, I will have to go back with a Harbinger and give it a shot.

Edited by: Hann Tuch on 22/06/2011 22:27:07 Thx for the answers. I just bought an Arby and fit it with mwd and dual repper as well as some la0rs, got it to work capstable with smal repper+mwd wich is really nice, didnt get hit well(some crap hits wich didnt even srach the shields^^) once while orbiting the npc in 5missions...killer ship! I dont see why navy slicer would be more fun, also i couldnt go afk with the rifter wich i could with the arby^^

You've obviously never flown a Slicer.

I also struggled killing the Prophecy in or near Arnon, so i just asked for help in local. Alot of people there are happy to help if you let them loot the wreck. Seen a Cane with T2 720's alpha it to death :)
Second time i ran the epic arc i did it all in a passive shield tanked rifter and finished it easily.

Thats right, all i did where some missions in a crusader, i like the arby more though thats personell preference, i like to be able to get to the mission objective while my drones melt the npc. i believe the slicer with range bonus could do the same, i dont see where the "more fun" is hiding:/

hrr lvl1 missions in t2 cruiser well i thought lvl1 missions in cruiser was overkill:D Ofc i could w8 some months and do it in a zealot with his awesome range and dmg, i just dont want to w8 since its something i can do until my battleship skills are how i want them (~2days from now)
