CCP PLEASE put the warning that you can't install any more manufacture jobs at the front of the clickfest of installing a job instead of letting the players click away only to find out later that they can't install the job because they "have reached the limit of your abilities for running concurrent factory slots".
Also while your fixing this annoying clickfest. Please, PLEASE, put information in the "Science and Industry" window, "Jobs" tab, the number of availiable mfg, copy, research, invention jobs you have open, remote install range like the info in the bottom of the "Wallet" window for availiable orders.
Anyone who agrees with this, or can improve on it, PLEASE make a post so CCP can see this is an issue that should be addressed.

Edited by: Kedisa on 23/06/2011 14:36:30 How about select 10 BPOs and install them all with one set of clicks?
edit: this is a suggestion not saying OP should do this.

A count in the industry window would be fine with me. I.e. 9/10 jobs for both manufacturing and invention. *** Looking for testers for my industry program! Details Here! |

Great Idea. I usually do one type bpo at a time so never thought of this.

Edited by: Toxic Paradox on 23/06/2011 17:59:11 Fairly simple to open your science and industry then select jobs and count the number you have running...
I suppose it would be a bit more convenient to have a display like 8/10 jobs currently running as is suggested here in this thread.

I support this.
Also, if there was anyway to install multiple jobs at once that would be a great save of time too, like for example if you were installing 5 invention jobs in the same Research lab of the same type making the same things, just putting them all in at once rather than one at a time.
Since I don't see the above happening, what would be nice at the very least is if when installing a job, you could set the default distance for current solar system rather than current station.

Yes, supported. Adding to S&I window a readout of your current use of lab and factory slots would be even better.

Actually complicated processes is what makes eve pretty great.. If you simplify the processes ala wow it's no longer a profession and more of a.. well a nothing that good. Note I didn;t like the changes to scanning either.. made it too simple.

I posted something like this somewhere in CSM forums I can't remember the link or anything now.
My idea was even more simple than that.
Your manufacturing window is more like a cargo hanger. You dump your BPs in there, you dump your materials in there. You press "Initiate Job"
A little window opens up and give you what you can build according the BPs and materials you dumped in there. It lists your BPs you have in there and their run limit etc. As you increase or decrease the number of runs each BP will produce it calculates on the fly the materials it'll consume. If you increase the runs and use more materials than you put in it basically tells you how many of each material you need. You have manufacturing slots limited to the number of slots you can produce. Once everything looks the way you want it to, you press "Install Jobs" and it feed all slots with the BPs and Materials based on what you selected in the "Initiate Job" window.
There is also a "Install MAX JOBS" option which basically takes Blueprints in order from the top down and installed the maximum number of runs it can install based on the materials available. So if you have 11 BPCs for max run Heavy Scourge Missiles, the "Install Max Jobs" takes those 11 BPCs, installs a job to run 1500 times, per slot, and subtracts the amount of materials from the manufacturing bin.
At the end of the jobs it spits out 1,650,000 Heavy Scourge Missiles :)
Drag 11 BPs into the Manufacturing Bin. Drag your materials into same Bin. Press "Initiate Job" Press "Install Max Jobs" A couple of days later, 1.65m units come out deposited into your hanger.
Of cause if they where BPOs instead, it would build as many as the 30 day limit would allow and consume a LOT of minerals.
