It will mean that there are two sort of person playing the game - those who can afford to buy success, and the unsuccessful. And as for buying standings - whatever happened to idea of actions having consequences? One more thing. Does anyone remember this? Most of us figured it was an April Fools' Day joke. But CCP seem to be treating it as a roadmap. I guess the joke's on us. I'm sure the Scriptures have a thing or two to say about the day when I'd quote one of your posts and say: "Agreed on all accounts." Probably something about the end of time, and so forth. Slaver. :P

Aurum prices? I dont care a damn what vanity items cost as I wont be buying them. What I am angry about is the prospect of being able to buy COMBAT ADVANTAGE WITH RL MONEY. I do not joke when I say that when Eve becomes fattest RL wallet wins, Eve will be dead for me. Trust me, I almost know what I'm doing.

You are reaching too far into the cookie jar on this one by even talking about it, let alone introducing micro transactions. Yes not everyone would do it or needs to do it. This whole thing goes against what players want in an MMO: a distraction from real life. The last thing people want to see is their game designers/maintainers/company rubbing their hands together and grinning at all the money they can squeeze out of people. How many active subscribers would there be with active alts? Quite a few? This memo alone has caused who knows how many to stop playing. You want to reduce the amount of ISk in game? Fine. Remove microtransactions and just replace it with ISK. The store IS a good thing in theory, buying exotic items for your char so they can be different from others. But it's not much good if buying anything costs that much, and with real money to buy a plex as well. No one cares much about A) CQ (i think its awesome but could do with some minor tweaks here and there), B) Performance changes. SM3 is long overdue and if its needed, it is needed. The biggest issue is the current model of the Noble Market which IMO is fundamentally flawed, based on the type of payment that is needed and Micro transactions in general. I am sure there are alot of aspiring clothign designers in Iceland who would jump at the opportunity to take part in a competition to design new things for characters? How about offering the ships that won the 'Design a ship competition' to be able to buy them from the noble Market? The Noble market should be ISK based. It should remain and it should be expanded. I would also go so far as to say when Walking in Stations is implemented, you could set up various other ships for people to sink their isk into, like overpriced T1 Meta 0 modules (for example) in Outposts. An 'Accessory' store to buy posters or vacuum bots for your CQ. Crew sign-on stations to get a better crew perhaps, increasing your ships performance slightly. Eve Online is a very pretty game. It looks amazing. Alot of people wouldn't play it otherwise. Please don't screw it all up by EVER proclaiming 'Greed is good', publically, privately or in confidence to anyone. Don't even think it! We all hate the very idea!

Well AUR, i can see that it serves two purposes, one useful to the game IP, the other be useful to the company to sort an overlooked problem and open a new revenue stream from sad people with little real self worth. PLEX stockpiles were not thought out well enough, probally because you underestimated the RMT going on in game and didn¦t think of making an escrow trust for cash to cover unredeemed plex liability (better a bank than a casino). Many see the intro of the AUR as a PLEX (aka Real Cash) sink and cash cow milking the player base,, you take liability, repackage it and sell it on to brain dead mugs so its off the books, hell it reminds some of the derivative trading debarkle that nigh on crashed the world, hence Joe Gallo being highlighted. Personally i would like to regard it as the laying out of a new payment system that will bridge the existing eve sub model and the MT model Dust will use and you couldn¦t resist the temptation at the highest management levels to maximise returns asap, for whatever reasons they thought of as they do not actually seem to be emotionally invested in the game and its intelligent diverse player base at any real level as they were many years ago. That disconnect gave us mandatory CQ¦s, where the player base feels its being pushed into barbie online and MT, not spaceships, its like your trying by force to make people involved so some will buy expensive crap that was developed before you thought of monetising it. Instead of providing a service, aka a game, it feels like you betrayed us and started playing us as a game. ...... continues overleaf.

The button should send us to CQ with our character just outside the pod or near the panel that overlooks the hangar. That would be more in keeping with what is claimed to be happening game-wise.

People get a grasp of yourself, pick yourself up from your bootstraps and deal with the situation at hand and be civil. No one is going to listen to you, or change their opinion about you if you are literally screaming bloody murder in their face. Hell this thread reminded me so much of SWG forums that I refused to go to sleep to escape nightmares from my past. People on those forums foamed at the mouth, and screamed, and hollered, calling for "roll backs". In the end it didn't change a damned thing with that game. Lets try a different strategy, let's be civil, we the customers get our way, or else we leave, but you need to be strong, and consistent. You can't unsub, and then resub 3 months, 6 months, 1 year later. You can never come back. That is the only way CCP is going to learn their lesson. Not screaming like a fool who has a bad case of emo-nerdrage.
