Anybody got his contact email so they can link this threadnaught?

Two years and change: that's what it took for a harmless CCP joke to become a full-fledged reality via Aurum.
The irony is so thick you couldn't chisel through it with a jackhammer.
Admittedly, I LOL'd.
It'll be fun to see what happens in the next few days/weeks.

I could care less about performance issues with incarna, and its not bad, i like the WiS idea, but the problem, above all is the new virtual goods store, would have been okay if ccp hadn't gotten greedy and literally tied it to real money, make it bought with isk and lp like an lp store or something, but plex, come on, are you guys that desperate for money?

I am in support of cramming into Jita. It may have a cap, but that means others can't enter to do their trading. If CCP bans me at this point for openly saying this, they'll have made my decision that much easier as I'm very quickly losing heart for EVE.

Dear anonymous CCP employee that leaked the bulletin: You care more about your customers than the board of directors. Taking risk upon yourself, you brought us the truth, and shall thus be considered a hero!
Would you please also leak past and future bulletins? Since CCPs word is worth nothing, the insight is invaluable. ________________________ CCP: Where fixing bugs is a luxury, not an obligation. |

~5000 "mains" ~15000 "alts" ~20000 bots.
Even if a few hundred people stop playing, the ludicrous numbers of bots in this game will always make it look "busy". CCPs "current user numbers" will only take a significant nosedive if enough people stop playing that the botters don't bother logging in.

Couldn't possibly be that when we cancel our accounts we have game time remaining and are talking in chat about what other game to go play with friends since EVE is dead? I have till 7/20 paid, others have less or more. They will see the cancellation numbers and obviously the silence when we were told we'd have a devblog official response and got none, they are worried, and rightly so.
It's Star Wars Galaxies all over again.
besides, yesterday at this time were about 50k so , as long as this is just to chitchat might look like 10k less accounts online?

From how it appears to me, CCP is having financial trouble, and resorting to the more esoteric MT model that League of Legends uses. Introducing ships that you have to buy with Plex to play will add a new tier to the game and wont even be close to the LoL model - you can't resell heroes in LoL and anyone can buy any hero - There's no point anyone reselling the ships, as there's no profit margin in it, you might as well purchase the plex itself. But if the ships are more powerful then they'll be needed to compete, which follows the evolve or die routine. And from the reaction that people are giving, its clear which route the playerbase will take...
I genuinely don't see the issue however with giving a rough timeline for fixing big player issues (bug fixes, improvements to existing features), and having a clear, assigned team on this that takes limited feedback from the players (admittedly most of it will be tripe) then charging slightly more for the subscription. People LIKE the game, people WANT internet spaceships. Why then offer something that completely contravenes the essence of the game or completely unbalances it in order to try to make more money, whereas something like a small sub increase would probably come across far better if people are convinced that you'll spend more time on KEY issues. Nullsec, FW, Industrial chains, RMTing - these are the things people care about. Not station spinning, not station walking. Yes they're great features, but they're not the heart of the game. And at the end of it all, people play for the spaceships, not the fluff surrounding them.

This is the only thing that needs an answer right now, everything else comes second to this vital question, simple as.
I'll add to this message. If I see "no plans at the moment" or "forseeable future" or any other wriggle-out clauses in the response I'm gone for good.
Nothing short of 100% commitment to NEVER allow anything beyond VANITY items will keep me here, as anything less would signal clearly the intent to renege down the line.

First I want to say that I'm not upset over the current situation with NEX, CQ, or performance.
The reason I'm not upset is because I expected CQ to be rough, performance to drop and the NEX to be incomplete. The change to CQ seems like a pretty big leap to me and I'm impressed they pulled it off as well as they did.
Now, with that said I also have to admit that I'm disappointed with the NEX and communication overall.
When I think of paying to play (which I've done in other games and I have no moral/philosophical problems with) I think of spending a moderate amount of money. I had a friend that was single and spent literally thousands of dollars on Everquest items. I'm married, have kids and bills so I can't spend that much money on a game/hobby no matter how much I like playing. I can spend $5, $10, and sometimes $20 on in game items when I find something neat.
Lately I've been spending my spare cash on cruiser posters, EON issues, map books, awesome satchel w/ patches and a spare account to develop a character to sell. Now that I have the out of game swag I was looking forward to getting some in game goodies.
However I'm not going to trade a plex for a single shirt.
I'd pay 100mil at most for a single clothing item. I would expect that if I cashed in a Plex I could get several shirts, maybe some new boots, some kind of hat, or a pair of bermuda shorts. The main thing would be to get several options at a fairly low price. I don't need to prove I'm elite, I just enjoy having my character look the way I like it to look.
That's one disappointment I had with NEX, the other is a lack of room items.
I don't like the minmatar look of the room, one of the reasons I picked Caldari was the colors/look of the race. I do like the idea of having a room that's all grey's and blues with a military feel. I want to add bookshelves, a table, some kind of lamp, a picture or two, a nice recliner, and maybe a pinup style poster. How about different layout options so I can put the TV in the corner and have room to do WII fit, twister or some serious petting in the center of my quarters? All of these have been left out yet they would really make Eve feel more like a second home and not just a game I play when I'm not in the mood to snipe people in the head (fps games).
The NEX is a good idea, but so far it's overpriced and underutilized. Give me some >$10 options and I'll sink a GTC into it. Leave me with a single cool looking shirt that's more expensive than the shirts I normally wear for realz and I will spend my money elsewhere.
Now, done with the NEX stuff, moving on to communication. I've seen lots and lots and lots and lots of posts on these forums that are great ideas. I've seen intelligent discussion, excellent questions, and notification of pending problems. What I don't see a lot of are replies indicating that the idea has been passed on, the question is being asked, the discussion was informative, or the problem is being looked into. I don't expect an answer to every thread etched onto the boards, but some form of regular feedback would go a long way to helping the players feel like they matter more. One thing I've always liked in other games was a weekly poll asking about future plans, player feelings or a wide range of topics. How much posting could have been avoided if a poll had gone up stating "How much would you pay for a custom shirt? 50mil, 100mil, 500mil, 1.5bil isk etc. Then you'd have a baseline of player expectations. Or maybe "Would you rather have CQ's released sooner with one room or wait for all racial rooms? Simple questions that the player base is more than willing to answer.
I'm still enjoying Eve but I'm concerned for the future. Will the trend of forcing changes without player feedback continue or will the players have a better voice than just the CSM.Because personally I don't really like the CSM as it seems to be a vocal minority more than an broad sampling of the player base.

A direct quote from page 9 of the pamphlet that is a Feature about MT in Eve. Let me emphasize this is not discussion or back and forth. This is how it will work in Eve. It is not a single dev opinion, but a statement of fact.
Page 9:
Quote: "Not all virtual purchases will focus on customization: some will simply be new items, ammunition, ships etc. that can be purchased outright."
CCP. Time to respond. Six accounts being cancelled tomorrow morning unless there is a clear response that states that you are reversing this decision that has already been made.
I urge other people to go and read the pamphlet as well. It is a grim read and a tale of utter stupidity. A great product being simply killed to get a few last coins so that they can be spend on developing other projects. I have no time for a hobby like this.
