Are you moving beyond VANITY AUR items?
Dump microtransactions all together. Nothing good will come out of it except greed and greed is not good despite what CCP seem to belive.

I *really* don't want to see this game go the way of SWG. I still have bad memories from that. The lack of CCP replies for so long is unsettling, and if they answer anything other than the big yellow question, I think many people will be disturbed. Myself included.

Originally by: JoeBear770 In my over 3 years in this game I feel Eve is a community. A community with strong ties to each other and yes, to CCP as well. I can't speak for everyone, but my feeling is that with the release of the internal document coupled with the Incarna performance issues and the ridiculously high priced vanity items, we the community feel we are being taken advantage of. We are being used as test mules for the WOD graphics, squeezed financially to fund other non-Eve games, and yes we have a sense of betrayal. The "golden goose" that has funded you for years and has given you your jobs is being crushed under the weight of demands that its not our business to bear. There are those in CCP who are former and current players, who truly love the game, and another element whose goal is to up the financial stakes at any cost, even at the risk of offending/alienating/losing old and newer Eve players. Yes, CCP is in business to make money (who isn't) but at what cost to the playerbase? There's an old saying, don't bite the hand that feeds you, and I think it's appropriate here. No, I am not cancelling my sub at this time......Why? Because CCP is at a crossroads and still has a chance to right their wrongs, perceived or otherwise. Make CQ an option which yes, some will choose to do, bring back the ship spinning (a token gesture perhaps, but it shows you care) and stop messing directly with the market by attempting to pull in huge amounts of isk for what should be low or moderate cost items. Show at least some additional effort at combatting botting and macros. Will this be a cure-all? No, but it's a start and may help sway some players on the fence to give CCP a shot at redemption.
This is precisely my position as well. I'm not raging, broken out in a sweat, nor foaming at the mouth. I'm waiting calmly for definitive answers as are most of us to decide what to do next.

I'm currently on page 15, and reading through to page 37 (37 right now!)
I personally have no complaints with the MT. I think it's silly to add MACRO Transactions, but from reading the CCP internal Fearless it's highly obvious that's the direction CCP intends to move in, the customer base be damned.
I think the performance hit from CQ is pretty horrible, but I'll be the first to admit it runs better on my old laptop than the preview versions we saw months prior.
As to the performance issues with Incarna? For an expansion that didn't actually expand the game, and rather added a virtual display case to show off our new virtual trinkets that will be added in the AUR / NeX store, I'm highly disappointed. I understand from reading the newsletter and your future vision that it's absolutely required, and that you fully intend to cast-off your player base that cannot RUN the new CQ, but that's a rather cold-blooded future vision for your customer's, and I think we'd all like a LOT more transparency in the future.
Last I checked, our monthly subscription paid your bills, it might be best to be a little more vocal with the community, so you don't keep running into these issues.
$99 for the Eve player's who are most vocal in supporting your products, AUR Scorpions, and the other recent snafu's we've seen.
But plans, even in an OP/ED piece, to sell your playerbase features that have been stripped (ship fittings), faction boosts, and perhaps Faction towers (they have been missing for quite a while now) just strikes me as killing the golden goose for that last egg.

Put Hilmar in front of a camera and have him read a statement, make a Powerpoint or something, but I want to look into your EYES and see whether you are telling the truth. Because honestly, your words mean pretty much nothing to me anymore.

GUYS GUYS ****.
THis answer has already been ****ing answered in the leaked internal document -- YES they will be selling NON-VANITY AUR ITEMS! Ammo, ships, standings, and anything else they come up with.
Instead of asking a question you already have an answer for, start demanding justification for this answer!

It should be obvious to us now that the fact that he is dodging the question means it has merit. Hes already stated that CCP has no plans on ditching the MT plan and they probably aren't going to back down on the non vanity either. The memo wasn't a discussion or debate it was a plan.

It would be best if a statement could be made to the effect that Aurum will be permanently limited to cosmetic/decorative items only. Anything less would be EVE Online's version of the New Game Experience.

I think whoever leaked that document deserves a huge THANK YOU for forcing this issue. If this situation is turned around and CCP leaves the destructive path they are on, I think it would not be an exaggeration to say that they saved EVE.
I just hope we can get that kind of result.
