Of the best moving on posts I have read, good imagery as well.

I am proud you are confident enough to share, there are other who are not as open and so I applaud you. However I do not see why you felt the need to highjack the original poster's thread, it would have been better and more polite to start your own thread.
Because flying a Minmatar ship is like going down a flight of stairs on an office chair while firing an Uzi. |

If you sing the OP in your head to "Confessions" it makes it even sadder.

Well said, albeit from an rather emotional point of view.
As for "...are you his parent?" Have you no feelings? I can't stand people w/ no appreciation for good writing. He was emoting, not writing a documentary... ID10T
Personally I am not leaving... just yet.
Though this is the 1st time I have seriously considered it.
I have turned off the CQ. It is less than useless in it's current form, it is extremely laggy; gives us some (but not all) of the functionality we have before but in a far less friendly and vastly more time consuming format. It does not replace ship spinning w/ something as, or more, interesting to do than ship spinning was.
My ideas...
(1) Give us the option to contact our agents and conduct business w/ them OUTSIDE of the stations (within docking range) via comms. Getting missions, completing missions and getting paid all do not REQUIRE one to dock.
(2) Docking required ONLY if cargo needs to be loaded/unloaded for missions. Or if to change or refit ship(s).
(3) Make CQ more interesting until WIS is ready... (A) Strike a deal w/ Netflix so we can rent moves, TV shows and watch them on the CQ big screen. I personally would LOVE to watch "Firefly", "Star Trek", "BSG", or "Clear Skys" in the CQ.
(4) Give us the ability to click on the Ship Hologram and see the ship full screen and rendered similar to the old ship spinning in dock view.
(5) For the sheer hell of it... put in a bathroom, allow toon to enter, shut door, and... well, you know... w/ flushing sounds as toon exits... Make it last long enough so a player can go too. =]
Just one mans opinion... Fly safe and see you in the Sky. =/|)=

Paraphrased from Top Gear: Imagine if you saw the entire French Air Force crash into a fireworks factory, that's the laugh that CCP gives us every time they do anything. |

Well said. I identify closely with those sentiments regarding the collaboration between CCP and EVE's players as well as the excitement and wonder felt because of the game the collaboration yielded.
I also think that the description of confusion is pretty dead-on. As someone that has played off and on (I don't always have time to play) since April of 2004, I agree that something has gone awry. For the longest time, it felt like CCP and the players were on the same wavelength. Words weren't always necessary to convey what the full vision of what the players had in mind as CCP often shared that vision and delivered what was envisioned and more. I think more and more the players feel like they cannot anticipate CCP's delivery of their vision. Of course it's silly to expect CCP to be composed of mind-readers so there will inevitably be missteps. But it seems that CCP , when there are missteps, does not take measures to recover those missteps as often as it seemed to in the past. As a result, it's killing the faith players have in CCP's ability to deliver a game they and CCP collaborated on. And it hurts. The disappointment, yeah that hurts. But there's some feeling of rejection too. And anger because the players feel like they're denied their value in the creative process.
♦ CCP -playing EVE, for some of us, isn't just flying around in ships, blowing things up and conquering. ♦ For those of us that have been around a long time, playing EVE means helping to create and give EVE form, function and depth. Giving you feedback and ideas, in a sense acting as members of your development team, is part of how we play. And for years, that play has been productive and yielded beautiful things, immense pride and satisfaction. Feeling grateful for the opportunity to work and play with you, we have shared with others what we believe to be the greatness of EVE. Those sentiments are PRICELESS! From the tone of things, people have tried to continue this form of play and seen little come of the effort, leading to a feeling of loss. Playing EVE and feeling as if one has little say in how it develops in the future feels like half of fun has been ripped out of it, that EVE is a shell of what it once was. -----------------------------------------------------------

OP sums up my sentiments nicely. Only difference is, I'm still sticking with the game... unless they put non-vanity win-enhancing 5h1t in the Noble store.
