Hello all
I dont want to be the one asking silly questions here.. but will Eve run on an iMac with an 2,7-GHz quad-core Intel Core i5? or should i consider a i7?
And will this AMD Radeon HD 6770M with 512 MB be a good GFXcard for playing Eve in the state it is now in?
Thanks in advance. ... |

The only silly question is the one never asked! Eve should run on your iMac with an 2.7Ghz Quad-Core Inet Core i5! As far as an i7 personally i always go with the better cpu when given a choice! If you want to play Eve with all the EYE CANDY the make sure your graphics are set to better performance and have at least 2GB of Ram per core! Using a Quad-Core aka a 4 core cpu you should have at least 8GB of Ram! I have a 512MB Video Card Also! Eve looks good as long as i turn off the new CQ! If you want to run the new CQ with all the EYE CANDY on then i would suggest to get a Video Card with at least 1GB of VRAM! VRAM is the Video Ram on the graphics Card itself! This only my opinion but I hope it helps!

i have time to think it over but i am leaning toward the i7 and the gfx card with 1gb of mem.. But the price is holding me bach a bit :P
The most importent thing for me would be the ability to turn everything on without toasting the awesome iMachine :P
*edit* hmm i am sure i didnt log in with my babe alt :P but oh well

Even i have an alt!
The Intel i5 would work! I suggest going with the i7 only if you can afford it, but if money is tight the i5 will work! If you want all the EYE CANDY on the 1GB GfxCard is a must! A 2GB Gfxcard would run it all better but only get the 2GB Gfx if you can afford it! The 1GB card should run the New CQ and EYE CANDY just fine without toasting your awesome IMachine! All that said i only have the 512MB GfxCard and the CQ turned off! A 2nd opinion for someone with a 1GB Gfxcard couldn't hurt! Uusally not so fast to respond but couldn't sleep so i am trolling the forums!

I don't know if this will help but it might! I bought my mac book pro in late 2009! It's specs are as listed:
OS X v.10.6.7 2.8GHZ Intel Core 2 Duo 4GB 1067 MHz DDR3 Dual Channel Ram Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT 512MB VRAM
I got it when it first came out! It retailed for 5,000 USD! Luckily i was in college at the time and got it at the Student Discount Price of 3,000 USD! My Family Flipped out when i brought it home and told them how much I had spent on it! At present it still runs as good as that day i bought it! My Family now begs me to let them use it! I personally was wondering if it would be a good purchase on the day I bought it! Now I am sure it was!
I hope that helps with your decision!
