Originally by: CCP Fallout No, ponies and war declarations are a waste of time. What I should be doing now is gathering your feedback and spreading this on throughout the company. This is what you guys pay me to do. Instead, I'm removing pony pictures from the forums.
Please do not misconstrue or take what I said out of context. Doing so will continue to cause strife amongst the community, unfortunately.
We are not taking what you say out of context, we legitimately do not understand that after a thread with 5200 replies saying we hate what you're doing with eve you could take a hint that the community doesn't like this. But apparently in Iceland the customers opinion doesn't meant ****.
We know the community is unhappy. We have a long list of issues that the community has brought to our attention in the last several days and then some, and my job is to help ensure that this is being shared with and understood up above, and to continue gathering data on what you guys are saying. It's becoming increasingly difficult to do this when we're dealing with pony posts.
Consider what I personally have been locking: country declaration threads. In the amount of time that I spend locking and deleting that thread, I could have read 5 posts and taken some pretty valuable notes and taken some pretty effective quotations down. Or, I could be providing an answer to a player question, or researching player responses to some other topic of import.
I am very passionate about EVE Online players. I am proud to be a member of this community, and find your honesty and passion invigorating. One of the brightest aspects of my job is directly interacting with you guys. When you are angry, I take note of this. I listen. When you like things, I listen and take note of that too. My whole day revolves around you guys. But I feel that I am not working towards your needs if what I'm working on is removing ponies and war dec threads from the forums. I don't think this is constructive, and I don't think it helps you use me as your advocate.
i appreciate what ur doing and i understand its hard for you but at the moment anything from ccp just feels well hollow no offence intended

Or MAYBE, instead of you taking notes, you should have your CEO come and read the forums and take notes himself, since he's the one who makes the decisions ultimately anyway... Did you ever consider that idea?

Is the fact that CCP has been intentionally misleading the community about their plans for the direction of the game one of these issues?
What what will CCP do to bring about more transparency and accountability? It's just one scandal after another.

Your notebook must be full right now. If you want to help the community end all this bull**** and go and ask them the question everyone has been asking. Waiting for this dev blog reply is a joke! We want answers, not more note taking. Everyone is repeating themselves anyway!

Are you suggesting we pay you.... So infact you should be listening to the community and NOT deleting what the community is posting. But infact we do not pay you. We pay CCP and they pay you. We obviously have little control over how they spend their money.
And yes I agree you are wasting your time deleting these threads and posts, so stop doing it.

Just read this. It sums up the thoughts of the entire community. The players paying to play this game spent enough time putting it together, would the people being paid for developing it spend some time reading it? ---

A very important question has been asked: are pony threads and wardecs (I can't believe I just said that in normal conversation) so absolutely, vitally, life-threateningly important that they absolutely must be kept 121% on top of in 24/7 realtime? Or can you, y'know, maybe let a bit of harmless (or even beneficial) forum spam slide while you do what the majority actually want you to do? That thing threatening the integrity of your relationship with your customers?

CCP Fallout FTW!
He's doing his job, and is very busy...but he still takes the time to post to this thread. Now I say we start helping him out, and stop posting for a while...give the community team some time to catch up before posting any more Spam.
On a related note: The reason the war declaration threads came about was restlesness from the community due to the lack of updates. We've made our point, and are currently beating a dead horse (not to be confused with an undead horse) I say we wait for CCPs response before raging more...besides, the protest in Jita is currently going on...spamming the forums isn't helping

CCP Fallout, You should really be considering the amount of influens you have in the company then, as the community have been bringing up some of the same issues over and over again and yet nothing has happened. You haven't even acknowledged them.

If you had taken the time to gather feedback before release none of this would have happened.

Originally by: Lord Aldaris As mentioned by CCP Fallout, our concerns and complaints are seen as a waste of their time. I believe this highlights the exact attitutide most of us are sick and tired of. I've spent multiple $1,000's on this game and my concerns are a waste of their time.
Here's a thought; I can dump this game and get along fine. I'll still have a nice office, 401K and fat salary. I can live without you, but can you live without us?? Hope you guys have fun finding work on that godforsaken rock of yours after the dust settles (no pun intended). I hear fermented whale meat sells really well abroad. I hope you enjoy your future carreer as a fish monger.
You guys can go to hell.
+3 (too lazy to post with all alts)
edit: war-decs are deserved and ponies are awesome... seriously, at some point you should just stop talking.

so you guys are spending your time reading war dec posts on GD instead of responding to the single thread with 500,000 views? you have the ability to stop all this nonsense right now by answering one question:
WILL AUR GO BEYOND VANITY ITEMS??
The fact that your current repsponse to this single issue consist of failed redirection and silence only aggrivate the situation.
JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION!!
This is not a question that I can answer as I am neither familiar with work in this particular feature, nor am a member of the team working on it. Our corporate policy is that we can only talk about that which we work on.
And here I was thinking that it would help if Soundwave or someone else involved could address the situation; instead we have you, Pann and Manifest responding to these threads by saying they can't help. I honestly don't expect any sort of "official" responses happening until Monday where the CCP management thinks the forum rage will subside. Then maybe a bit of the misdirection too and address the actual problems to following Monday.

With all due respect: In fairness, you could have been more clear about what you meant if I recall the post in question correctly. Sometimes fires are started from clumsy sentences or bad communication, and given the current state of the EVEO forums, it is probably a good idea to keep this in mind for any and all CCP employees posting.

To those who are unfamiliar with how any corporation works: the CEO will not be reading these forums, and no employee lower than him will have the power to make him read the forums. CEOs delegate. They make lower employees do the grunt work---which is what CCP Fallout is doing. So while it may make you feel better, screaming at Fallout to make the CEO read the forums is a futile gesture.
I'm not happy about how things work, either, but at least understand how a corporate hierarchy operates.

I think most reasonable people recognize that you (Fallout) are not exactly in charge of things over there. So really, I'd avoid the forums and go bang on the door of Heilmar or whomever and tell them an answer is needed. We want to know what CCP is trying to do and what their plans are going forward, because with everything that's happened, people are more unsure now than ever.

CCP Fallout,
I understand where you're coming from, but the fact that we aren't getting any information is only making people more upset and angry. I mean this as an honest question, but at this point in time, after everything that has been said, do you really need to keep taking notes and quotes on what people are saying? Isn't it pretty clear why people are bringing out the torches and pitchforks?
CCP Pan said yesterday we'd get a dev blog talking about things, but the workday is over in Iceland, and the day is getting pretty long in America as well, but still nothing.
I know you're not involved with that, but that's what people see and what people are feeling.
