Somewhere, someone bought that PLEX with real money. YOU may not buy it, but someone does. Also, if 3 months of PLEX is being wasted on a Monocle (or 3 crappy looking pants), that means that the cost of PLEX next time you wants to use your hard earned isk to pay for a month a GT, it will be more expensive.
The fact is that PLEX already gives us a way to buy in game items, including ships, fittings, etc for cash. HOWEVER, the items you are buying are still player made for the majority of the useful items. That "crafting" requires interaction with the player run economy From start to finish, almost everything for manufacture has an origin in the game world that we as players have to extract. The ONLY interaction that NeX has with the player economy is running up the cost of plex for extremely pricey vanity items THAT NO ONE CAN SEE. Except from the boobs up, depending on your player portrait. The currency cycle here is completely broken with NeX as it is.
As far as the system requirements go, I am running a decent processor...from 4 years ago along with a horrid vid card. I don't expect to have good performance in station and that is why station environments are disabled for me, not the 5 minutes of "gameplay" WiS currently offers. I actually want WiS. But I want it to be more than a Motel Minmitar. I want....Blade Runner. :)

What I want:
* An acknowledgement that they have screwed up. Not in terms of communication or PR (although both of those have been catastrophically mismanaged) but in terms of lying to, patronising, and intentionally misleading their customers. * An apology for having consistently and repeatedly lied through their teeth about their plans for microtransactions, going from "no microtransactions ever" to "microtransactions for vanity items only" to "microtransactions for new items, ammunition, ships, and features we removed and now want to sell back to you" * A statement, signed by all of their C-level executives with both their RL and CCP names in which they commit to never introducing microtransactions for non-cosmetic in-game items.
Things I do not care about at all:
* The price of monocles or any other daft vanity item * The performance of CQ (yes, it's horrible, but this is CCP we're talking about here; incompetence is expected)
What I expect to get
* A non-apology along the lines of "we regret that you are upset" * A vague and entirely non-committal statement about revising their approach to microtransactions, with no commitment to abandoning the ideas outlined in 'Greed is Good' * A couple of not very subtle insinuations that we're ungrateful swine who just don't appreciate their vision * A statement that the Noble Exchange will not be going anywhere * A vague, non-committal statement about the hangar view and CQ * SPECIAL PRICE REDUCTION ON NOBLE EXCHANGE ITEMS OMG OMG YOU HORRIBLE POOR SCRUBS CAN AFFORD THEM NOW STOP WHINING FOR CHRIST'S SAKE * Did we mention that you can buy stuff from the noble exchange? look at these boots, wheeeee! * Screw you, hippies
What I will be doing in response:
* Nothing, I already unsubbed all my accounts

We apologize for the time it has taken to get this together but we wanted to be thorough and adress all you issues.
We are looking into the harsh system requirements for the CQ right now and a team of developers is busy working on optimizing the engine. And as is normal after an expansion of this magnitude there are a few bugs with drones and missions that we are also curently adressing; expect a patch within a few days.
The Greed is Good? document was a bit unfortunate but keep in mind it was just an internal discussion and we had not decided anything concerning selling ships or other stuff that would have an impact on your ships and gameplay. We also have no intention of doing so at the moment. The scorpion was basically just a skin, and the price was way above what you would pay with ISK in Jita. So actually it would not give any advantage compared to selling a plex for ISK and buying a normal Scorpion.
Unfortunate for some, the AURUM store is permanent, as communicated earlier it's here to stay. We are adding new products as you read this, you are going to love it! We have to go with what's the standard in the gaming industry, keep in mind it's all optional. We intend to add cheaper clothes in the near future so stay tuned!
As a surprise we are looking into the possibilty to get your beloved ship spinning hangar view back.

P.S. Unfortunately we had to fire John Turberfield. We wish him luck at his next job! "

At this point I wouldn't believe CCP if they told me that the oceans are wet.

I think they'll increase the amount of PLEX you get from Aurum, so that the costs of things are less ridiculous. Anyone thinking micro-transactions wasn't coming/shouldn't come/etc. is just delusional. But they may decide not to add useful things for money, redirecting development time simply to more vanity items.
I have no problem with Incarna or micro-transactions, though the cost is a bit much, and they'll probably re-balance that.
I would also expect to see the old hangar come back as an option in the future.

I expect bull****. I'd be surprised if it's anything more than the standard "we're sorry", "out of context", "that newsletter was meant for internal discussion and does not represent the views of CCP" (even though one of the dudes in there is a ****ing lead game designer) etc. etc.

- Free sp as sign of appoligie - Promise they'll hire a company to educate them about corporate communication and hierarchy. - At least twice as devs in team BFF (just fixing sov isnt gonna do it, hybrids, galente, drones, AF's, black ops, supers etc need work too) - MT can stay for vanity only, no 'more powerful ammo/drones/ships/sp/implants' - reintroduce ship hangar (hello LORE/RP??? I do not eject my pod everytime I dock to reload ammo and repair my ship - a god damn apology from CCP's CEO.
That should about cover it. ---

Here is what I hope they'll write.
Dear playerbase, get the **** out.
Going into self perpetuating mass hysteria over a farking internal newsletter, where a dude is listing what you in theory could do with micro-transactions, is completely ridiculous and you all need to calm the F. down. None of that is coming any time soon, and not with CSM approval and it was just going around as brain storming material.
With regards to MONOCLE's are too expensive!! Tough, dont buy it.
With regards to Incarna, yes it's bare-bones and buggy currently, no it's not gonna stay that way. It'll get better and NO you cant opt out, if you dont like EVE becoming more than a spaceships game, feel free to leave at your earliest convinience.
Unfortunately, they're probably just going to apologize and say they'll look into it, catering to the most entitled and whiny group of MMO players on earth.

LOL I wasn't so far off with my attempt!
* cheaper vanity items; * no promise they're not going to sell ships or SP, in fact not a word; * more vanity items;
not even something about current issues, the hangar, optional CQ and such. Did it really take them that long to compose this?
