Edited by: Velicia Tuoro on 24/06/2011 20:36:49 FIRSTLY: This thread isn't supporting or decrying the protests, just reporting on it. Feel free to add any media information you see, screenshots, videos etc. but please use the other threads for feedback about the events.
Light Speed Interactive are reporting about the ongoing protests taking place all over New Eden right now.
I've just arrived on the scene in Rens and we've got a small protest building up. Around 400 in local and there is more protest talk in local than trade talk.
As you can see from other threads, Jita and Amarr protests are in full swing right now.
We'll have updates from Lacrime Delsole on what's going on in Jita and Amarr here soon.

Here is Harleen Quinzel. Live from the event! the peoples are getting crazy here today. They made a barricade in the gates and nobody is allowed to go through. Just about now, I almost got hit by a stone from the protesters. They say the CCP has lied to them and after beeing caught, asked for parley. But it has more than 24 hours and they dont say anything.
The protesters are shooting and screaming: I'M AS MAD AS HELL, AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE THIS ANYMORE!
This is History beeing made!
This is Harleen Quinzel. LIVE!

CCP Zulupark has released a Devblog, the first official response from a lead developer for EVE Online.
Linkage
Unfortunately, it seems that CCP has missed the concerns about "No Non-Vanity RMT Items". Players are concerned whether CCP is simply ignoring the concerns in hopes the community will not notice or whether they have clearly shown a failure to communicate with the community on this matter. Neither speak well for the situation. We will be keeping coverage on the protests in game which have brought 2 trade hubs to a stand still for all players, and potentially a 3rd.

This just in: Reports indicates that there is above 1500 peoples at jita right now! The gates continues blocked up! Amarr is calling reinforcements to block the gates and stop all the 1280 peoples that are currently shouting non stop! Dodixie's citizens are above 750 at this moment and are shooting each other and self destructing to call for help. Rens have less peoples, almost 500, but they are not quiet, they are firing torpedoes and stones to the police. Harleen Quinzel. Live from this historical moment!

The more publicity this gets the less likely CCP will be to concede to demands or backdown.
Shot yourselves in the foot.
If they show weakness now they'll be met with incessant whining over every little thing in the future.

How about if 10,000 eve players protest out side CCP offices in iceland accompanied by a bunch of anti capitalist that have nothing to do with eve but get invited along (rent a mob).

Reports are coming in that Protestors from Dodixie are attempting to move to Amarr.
A call for more protestors in Rens has also come in.
The hours are getting late for many Euros, and numbers are ever so slightly declining -however the question is whether the American Time Zones will be picking up the vigil of protest well into the night.
How long will the EVE Community put this show up in what they perceive as defense of their game? How long will it take for CCP to show that they are genuine about their intentions for EVE and answer a few questions that even as a reporter I have to admit are being ignored from the EVE Community of players.

EVE Radio Talks Announcement
Quote: It's been a tough month for CCP.
There was uproar about the Alliance Tournament, performance issues with Incarna, outrage with the NEX store and now a leaked internal document that (on the surface) casts CCP in a very negative light.
Tonight at midnight gmt (25/06/11), Funkybacon and chums will dissect everything that has happened this month and attempt to make some sort of sense of it all. What is likely to be a landmark discussion with a lot of important views, opinions and maybe a few facts will be shared LIVE with you, the EVE Radio and EVE Online community and available on our Rewind service later.
Confirmed guests at this point include Brendan Drain from Massively although some of you may know him better as Nyphur from his ISD days. More to follow.
Be sure to long in early for what could be the most important and informative discussion of the year.

Protests in Dodixie have died down.
However, protests are continuing in Jita and Amarr although regressing a little bit.
The Mass-Protest channel, the primary channel for organizing the protests is down to 700 from 900 players, but that only shows that the core of the protests is still going strong.
The question is if the American Timezones will carry on this vigil into the night, and what the weekend brings. I look forward to the EVE Radio talk show this evening.
