Lot of talk about what "we" want, but what I want is for Captains Quarters to be 100% optional... forever!
I want to be able to stay in my ship all naked and warm inside my goo.
If I wanted to walk around I can either play WoW, SL or Entropia or step out of my capsule and let the joy of vacuum dry my corpse for someone else to have thier way with.
For those who are angry about NeX, HTFU. If you don't like the prices, DON'T BUY THE GOODS. If demand drops for vanity items, then prices will drop.

CCP_Zulu, you did not address the main concern. You insult us by wasting our time. We were told no MT in Eve, and that was a lie. Why should we believe anything will be off limits for MT now?
I swear, it's impossible for me to comprehend how you can defend an employee that has shown such contempt for the customers. Some of us golden goose cash cows actually have feelings. The hate he is being shown is well earned, and the contempt of a "reply" that answers none of the core issues is not much better.
It's like you can't even see what Eve is anymore, like you've lost touch with the very things that made it worth playing and set it apart. Eve was unique, and look what you are doing to it now.
It's a shame, a real waste.

Funny part is that you talk about "fearless" being a company value and you LOOOOVE to talk about how CCP succeeded because they actually bucked MMORPG trends and yet this is the only defense? "Everyone else is doing it, why shouldn't we?"
All in all, this response shows about 2 minutes was spent on it, not days. It also shows a complete and utter disregard for the main concerns. And where has the interaction with CSM been? You let us elect the CSM (TBH, i wasn't active at the time) but now you ignore them when they could very succinctly let you know what the Big DealÖ is really about?

So, I guess nothing from Pann's thread with Manifest reading it and then Fallout telling us to play nice so he can do more reading as compared to cleaning up made it through to the big wigs? Compare the incarana launch we had, with what we could have seen:
Eve let you set graphic options for WiS and FiS seperately. Load station environment was a permanent feature, not a temporary stopgap. You kept the old hangar view and could disembark to the new WiS if needed. Performance hits wouldn't have been as bad.
4 different CQ available, one per race.
Vanity clothing available at $1-50 each. Selection of 50+ items. The vast majority at lower price points ($1-$5), with some luxury items at the $30-50 for the superrich.
10-20 alternate ship skins for popular hulls. $1 gets you a 1-run bpc to produce the ship (exact same minerals and stats as regular, just different look). $3 gets you a 5-run BPC.
A commitment to continue with vanity only MT at eve, with price points across the entire spectrum.
Can you imagine how much money Eve would have made under those circumstances? Can you understand how different community opinion would have been?

Now, look at the difficulty for each of those options. Different settings would be fairly easy. How difficult is it to create a 3d environment of a single room for 4 races? Clothing isn't that hard to design that all the items are at their current pricepoint. You'd want to have cheap items to get buy-in from customers. This never should have been launched with such a limited selection and poor pricing.
Re-skinning an existing ship would involve changing colors on the different layers they use. A competent artist could create alternate color schemes for quite a few ships fairly easily. More complex skins with actual different patterns could be developed as time permits. Creating the actual BPC is maybe 5 minutes work.....

All you had to do was make one simple promise; a promise not to engage in non-vanity Micro Transactions. It's not even a hard promise to make or keep, unless you never had any intent not to do it in the first place. This would have lowered the gun away from your head.
