that dev blog assumes that everyone is mad about the newsletter when everyone was mad BEFORE the newsletter came to light
i know that you know that. and i know that you don't care
while you're being so butthurt about CCP employees being dragged through the mud for doing one thing and saying another to the player base, you might take a minute to think about how "not cool" it is to lie to your customers, to openly mock them, and to troll them on your own forums. In the 2 years since i've been in Eve i have seen all 3 of those things done on a monthly if not weekly basis
When i look at how you act as individuals, i am embarassed for you, even if you don't have the manners to be embarassed for yourselves

That was fairly pathetic, to be honest. Instead of understanding the sheer volume of reprisals coming to a head, you decide to stand firm, even get defensive.
Well I wish CCP luck with that, it sometimes takes monumental events to get a message across that can affect corporate (or lack of) inertia. I see you're in that phase of your corporate history.
My two accounts, which were yearly subscriptions, are now cancelled, with the hopes if you somehow buck the odds and reverse the inevitable course that's in front of you I can renew them. For me I got a few more months of time to solidify my friendships, say my goodbyes, and find a place where all my play buddies will go. Note that Eve is a social environment - when the alphas leave, the rest tend to follow, in order to stay together. Eve isn't the glue that binds, it's just the canvas we express our kinship. We can and will find another place if we need to. Don't think for a minute you're not under a spotlight in your industry, and some clever company is going to take advantage of the vacuum you will cause.
Good luck, hope for a more humble and heartfelt response.

That was a pathetic non-apology. The obvious contempt of the EVE player base displayed in the fearless newsletter, and subsequent developer forum posts gives me serious reservations about giving CCP any more of my real-life monies.
It is obvious that corporate greedheads worry more about what they can possibly extract from us financially than delivering an enjoyable or quality product.
This is a company that is rapidly alienating their player base by introducing major changes that add nothing to the gameplay (incarna), but is incapable of fixing basic user interface bugs.
CCP Zulu et al have been blinded by the dollar-signs in their eyes... acting like a bunch of half-rabid dogs,salivating and climbing over each other after a whiff of $ony's dripping cooz.

I think what CCP is doing with incarna is a very good idea, I love the idea that they want the game to be a sci-fi simulation game were you can do whatever you want with your character and all that. Go to the bar and have a drink etc. and ofcourse if you dont want a drink you can still just sit in your pod all day and do what you regularly would do. I hope the "auto-leave ship on docking" is temporary tough, seems abit tiring to leave your pod...put on clothes...turn in mission...take of clothes...go back in pod,evrytime you dock.
anywas, this is what i wanted to say...if you do real life comparison with the clothing prices in the NEX store, your doing it wrong. pod pilots have enough money to buy military ships. A real cruiser class naval ship costs about 600-700 million dollars, and a pair of expensive jeans cost 1000 dollars. So if you want it to be a realistic simulation you let the clothes and accessories cost about 1000 isk and they would still be expensive for a regular non-pod pilot person.

Sit down, and just fucking listen. If you fail to heed your subscribers, you won't have any. Others failed to listen in the past, and see where they are now (SWG NPE, ex).

The overeaction by the player base is hilarious. They seem to think they are entitled to cheap cosmetic items. And lol at a business plan that has the goal of destroy said business.

With regard to the issues everyone is having, two things really stand out:
Purchasing products from the Noble Exchange is OPTIONAL! If you think they're too expensive, don't buy them.
Nobody is forcing you to subscribe to EVE - that too is optional. If you don't agree with what CCP may or may not have said, then cancel your subscription and walk away. Believe it or not EVE is a game, although from reading these forums I sometimes wonder how many people actually remember that

1) Frankly I dont care what fearless is, its out and tbh I'm not sure why you are having this discussion. The player base rebelled when you announced the first MT blog, do you really expect our opinions to change on this? You want to gauge the reaction on this? Then create a small questionaire thats mandatory to complete before logging in, that will give you the true state of play on this move.
2) You're argument is fatally flawed, if I had $20 dollars to spend on a T-Shirt I would rather buy a real world one than on a pile of pixels.
Now as there have been, in the last couple of days, 10,000+ posts, 400+ pages of comments and now there are in game protests I would seriously recommend you back down, re-assess where EvE is going and apologise PROPERLY.

Well, that was a mite disappointing. No apology, let alone a sincere one; no unequivocal NO! to 'MT for ingame advantages.' Instead, I saw something in the vein of 'You guys were too mean to us,' and 'We're only doing our jobs.' Oh, and something about likely selling stuff for even higher AURUM prices (the latter was, pardon the pun, priceless).
Disappointed? Yes. Surprised? Sadly, no. You think that's a commentary on the current state of CCP?

Not in the slightest. I don't give a damn about the MT. It's optional, it's pointless, and you've gone off the deep-end with your customer expectations with it by releasing the expensive stuff with nothing else. You blew that - mostly by ignoring all the feedback you had at your fingertips.
But none of that matters.
Address the crap that you saddled us with as far as the lost functionality and crappy transitions between In-space, in the hanger, and in CQ.
