Even if that was correct (I doubt it is, it wasn't that valuable), you totally missed the point. Ed Gein got the point, it seems.

Sure, one out of the three ships you managed to kill during the war had good loot. You lost 30+ ships. At least 10 of them were battleships, and many were fitted with nice tech II or named modules. Also lets not forget about the dark blood loot we got from Etherios, or the fact that during the war you guys lost about 30 of your most active members. I think the loss count speaks for itself, and it's pretty obvious you didn't "profit" from our contract.

Yeah, you're right. For some reason, I thought it was a Mozart song. Oh well.

Nice technical work but I found the picture in picture and 2 pictures in picture a bit disorientating, wouldn't use it myself in this manner.
Very nice soundtrack.

Don't make it greater than it is.
It was fun fighting you in the week I was in empire.
Tnx again for that officer xlarge shieldbooster :P
It has however made our people in empire doing agent missions and scking the roid more aware of dangers, which is good. |

You have used some really nice techniques in this one. The effects really contributed to the overall atmosphere of the video, especially the intro and outro.
I liked the picture in picture you did but it felt a little bit disorientating. Maybe it was the placement or maybe just me. It is a good technique though that I have "faked" also in an earlier video of mine, good job.
Overall i really liked the content also, even though it is a "gank-video". Have no problem with it as you have mixed the clips very nicely. I mean, you are mercs. You get payed to kill the targets. Style is irrelevant.
Good job on the video and the contract

Edited by: Merdekka Radaen on 21/02/2005 19:14:35 Truth be told, I didn't want to take the contract at all to begin with. I have a lot of respect for Evolution's fighting ability, and the idea of being outnumbered (taking the corp attributes at face value) 50 to 1 didn't exactly appeal to me. When it actually came down to it though, finding targets was often a struggle. The Christmas period was probably not the time to be expecting massive corp activity but there was a stretch of a couple of weeks where it was very rare to see more than 15-20 people logged on (and I had 200 evol members on file by the end of the war.)
It would be an act of massive hubris on my part to state plainly that Evolution lost members due to the acts of my corp, but the fact remains that (if I remember correctly how many members evol had to begin with) the member count decreased by 29 people in the span of the war, and I could name most of those players. The reason being is that they were the ones who were the active few, so we'd go out hunting, send out agent searches and then realise to our annoyance that the guys had left the corp. We learned to check the corp beforehand when searching for people who were online, because the incidence of them being in the corp one day, and not the next was getting silly.
Those miners for instance all joined Doped Players in the couple of days after Fal gave them a visit, and there were at least some agent runners who left, I assume because they got fed up of watching over their shoulder for us. It was also difficult to make kills because a lot of the time people were using instas backed up by a lot of warpcores. I'm not saying this is some low tactic, if you're just travelling around it makes good sense, but it does mean that you often can't stop people from just flying past while you watch.
Leafo is correct, it is unlikely you will see anything from the Cult, that unless specified otherwise, is not a "gank video." I like to think that in as many cases as possible the battle is decided before it even begins, which means you usually end up seeing one guy get taken by surprise and overwhelmed with massive firepower. As a mercenary, this is good business practice, but I'll admit that the scope for a really exciting battle (at least on film) is quite limited. I think the video acts more as an advert for our services anyway, rather than a showcase of spectacular fights.

I'm sure Falhofnir would like to have 6 Dread Guristas Siege Launchers and 5 named ballistic controls, but the truth is... the video has been sped up. Ganking helpless miners is already pretty dull to begin with, without running the whole sordid affair in realtime. Still, we thought you would get a kick out of seeing a part of Evolution that was the exact antithesis of most people's common perception of them. |

I think that the ganking of the miners and the music then its the best part of the whole movie actually

You would have been outnumbered badly if we all resided in empire space, had nothing else to fight and then form a gang to fight you. That was not case and would have been very boring for both sides.
We did send down a few people to fight in the first week, with success. Ofcourse that is not included in the vid.
If you wanted a challenge, you could have visited us in 0.0 space. Also, finding targets wouldn't be a struggle there. |

Evolution would have been crushed had the Cult had one billion members and magic weapons that could shoot the length of the universe. It's probably true, had it ever actually happened.

So why did you stop? Arrange the following words/phrases into your own hilarious explanation: "nerf," "Ferox," "Maller," "oversized afterburner," "microwarpdrive," "flamebait."
